This guy has literally been scamming people on Runescape for a full decade. His life's work entails fucking people over for Runescape accounts and gold. Part of his con is to flaunt his ghastly wife and mouth breathing kid as if he's some sort of great family man. He gets his wife on the phone with you to provide this false sense of security. Women's voices create more trust. Him and his piece of shit wife have done this for so long, they have it down to a science at this point.

It's literally the most pathetic thing to ever come out of the Sythe community. All the other scum from Sythe at least moved on eventually. Oogabooga, Sigex, etc. at least stopped eventually. This guy though literally has carved a career doing this shit. Calling people from Sythe, Craigslist, where-ever they post something Runescape related for sale. He wants to sell his account, tells you he's done with Runescape, he has a family now.

He tells you he needs to hold his kid for a minute, asks if you want to speak to his wife for a second. She puts on the clueless act about how her husband sure loves those video games, but she forced him to quit and sell his damn account already! They need the money to raise their sweet little child (who in reality probably looks like he was beaten with a shovel so many times that the shovel literally became a part of him, to the point that he became a baby-shovel hybrid). They tell you they don't really trust or use Paypal, they'd prefer to just get the money in cash that day so they can buy some diapers. Western Union will do the trick. Of course, he's long been banned from Western Union, so he'll have you send it to "his wife" (who is also banned, so this is a cousin / relative).

He'll play cool, but create a false sense of urgency to hurry you along and not think too much about the decision. Super responsive, super helpful, he's seen every issue at WU and will guide you along to make sure you're able to send him that cash. Then, after you go and send it, he'll thank you. He'll go pick it up before you have a chance to realize who he is. He picks it up and then possibly even continues talking to you. I'm sure sometimes he just flat out disappears right there. But I'm sure he occasionally even gives you an account. To create the illusion that the transaction is complete.

But either way, fast forward one week or so, that account is toast. Anything this guy gives you, he will make sure he can get it back. By the time you realize you're fucked, it's too late. He'll have your money and his account back, and he knows all the tricks in the book because he's literally been at this for more than a decade. The fact that this guy hasn't been put in jail or banned from online activity shows the justice system is failing. There's been a ton of reports on him. Police don't give a shit about online crime. Too much work to prove. Much easier to nab some low-income drug dealer, or soccer mom with a DUI.

Maybe they don't care about video games because it's retarded to build a business on top of it for a decade. This is especially when you're essentially trading something that should not be traded in the first place. You're obviously taking a risk on multiple layers (getting banned, wiped, account recovered, straight up scammed.) They do get involved when someone crosses the line, like the case with the basically-mugging that one time.

Why should they have to follow through an investigation with every idiot that sends a payment in an insecure manner? Just so you can recover a couple hundred bucks?

 

I remember when this piece of shit was running around on sythe scamming. He pops up every few years with a new scam method. It's pretty fucking pathetic. I seriously hope one day he does this to a serial killer. Someone who tortures, rapes and disfigures animals for fun. I'd pay more to see that than the mcgregor fight.
