Sociology paper

So I'm taking an introductory Sociology class at my community college.

For our final paper, which is due next Monday, we were told to write about anything that pertains to Sociology. Essentially, we're writing a 5-7 page paper (can be researching a topic, explaining terms from the book, etc.) and giving a 10 minute speech to the class to teach them that material.

From what I've seen of Sythe's General/SFA sections, quite a few of you have some sort of background in Sociology. Does anybody have a suggestion for a paper for me to write?

If this helps, here are some things I'm interested in:

- Video Games
- Drugs
- Politics
- Technology in general

I was considering writing about the effect technology has had on the social aspect of our lives as it has rapidly grown over the past few decades. Do you guys think that would be a good topic? Any input is extremely helpful. Thanks.
