    What made the movie so good anyways? It looks really stupid. Just want some opinions

    3D movies always make me go cross-eyed if I try to focus on something. I have to watch the movie while keeping my eyes slightly unfocused...

    Doubt anyone will want to see the 2D version with me though lol.

    So I watched AVATAR.
    I never even wear my glasses anymore. I used to wear them all the time, then I started just for computer use and now I just never use them... >_>. I can't really see distance with them on anyways so IDK if that would have helped. I just hate 3d is general. Its kinda pointless... Lol.

    So I watched AVATAR.
    This is how it went for me,

    I saw previews and I did not want to see the movie.

    Uncle and Aunt take me to see the movie.

    Watching previews and stuff in 3D and it looks amazing.

    Gets to the movie and the 3D is not as impressive.

    Overall the movie was much better than I thought it would be, but it was way too long and the 3D was just not worth it. The only 3d effects I can really see that stood out were when there were particles floating around.

    Anyways 8/10 movie. Better than what I was expecting.

    I haven't seen it, but I may. Everybody I know who saw it, just said it was OK, or not bad. Way over hyped IMO.

    So I watched AVATAR.
    They went through alot of hard work studying animals and such for realistic moves on the creatures and imo it paid off it was graphically brilliant and the 3d really was amazing. The plot was predictable but it was still worth every penny.

    So I watched AVATAR.
    Very average film - you could see exactly where the plot was going about 5 minutes in.

    HOWEVER - if you look at it as an elaborate tech demo, it's mindblowing in 3D. The particle effects, glass, insects and fauna etc were amazing. This is the future.

    How the hell could you see it 5 minutes in? At that time I am pretty sure that Jake didn't even know what the hell an Avatar was.

    When you watch it in 3D do you wear those cardboard red and blue glasses things or for theater are their better quality 3D glasses?

    Anyway i might go see it tonight with some friends so i was just wondering.

    Yeah, I saw it in 3D last night, too. I hated it.... I thought it pushed how epic it was to be a treehugger too much, but that's just me. And besides that, it was pretty good.
