Smoking

I smoke. I hate it when people say that people only smoke to look badass, because it's really not true. I started smoking out of curiousity, and then became addicted to it and couldn't stop. Cliched I know.

To the guy who asked how you can enjoy something that destroys you, think of when you're really hungry. You can't get the thought of the big mac out of your head. Then you eat three, you hate food momentarily until the next time you get hungry. Smoking is the same, you can't wait to have a cigerette, but after you have one, you hate it. Also, I don't really enjoy it. I only do it because, well, I need it, so to speak.

 

At work like half the people smoke and it's disgusting IMO. They often smell like smoke when they show up for work and either take smoking breaks or smoke right when they get out. I don't see why they do it because all it does is waste money, kill you, and waste time. what's the point?...

 

why are you all making a big deal out of this? you're all like "i hate smoking" and "why would they do it if they know its killing them". what i fucking hate is when people make a big deal out of smoking and sit there and lecture you about how its bad for you. The way i see it is leave me the fuck to do whatever i'm gonna do and mind your own business. pointing out that its "killing" us and stuff doesnt make a difference and is pointless because we already know. we just don't care because they're are far more deadly things than cigarettes. and no, we don't do it because we think it makes us cool. the sooner people realize that, the sooner they can move onto worrying about something more important than what people are breathing in.

 

We care not because it kills you, but because it kills us through second-hand smoke. We should not have to give up our space, just because people feel like having a smoke.

 

and we should not have to put out our cigarette, just because someone else won't move. the simple solution is that let people do what they want and if you have a problem with it, fix it on your own part by moving or buying a gas mask, whatever works for you.

I don't know about you, but when are you ever close enough to a smoker that it really matters? its not like your sucking the second hand smoke out of his lungs

 

I don't think so, he still works and everything, so I don't see anything wrong with him, he just says that "I've wasted soo much money on this, when I was younger, it was a lot cheaper, so that's why I smoked". But nothing is wrong with him health wise, I don't think.

All my friends smoke.. I used to smoke a few years ago just when I was
with friends because I thought it was cool. but now I don't at all because I
don't see a point of it all my friends still do though.

As long as smokers smoke at their own home I dont care but non smokers dont have to move because of some douche wants to smoke in a public place. Second hand smoke is really bad for younger children and smokers just dont realize and they only care about their own life. And yes there are people who smoke only to look cool.

Smoking might kill you in forty years. If you don't smoke indoors second hand smoke won't do a thing. There's no good reason to dislike everyone who smokes.

1 Pack a day = 20 cigarettes, 20 x 3 = 1 hour, so you lose 1 year every 24 years of life, say you would live to 72 without smoking, but with smoking you would die at 69.

3 years that's not that bad. Tell me if I have the math wrong.

 

I despise it. But I also find myself doing it while I'm drinking or during my darkest hour.

 

But during these 69 years you could have cancer and get chemo and your whole life is ruined way before you die. And I would rather life 72 years with less problems than 69 year with a bald head coughing my lungs out every minute.

 

Atleast in Spain, about a 95% of the teens who smoke do it because they want to feel part of a group of teens. What I'm trying to explain is that if you don't smoke, you may not be accepted as another of the group. I think people that smoke have no personality. I don't smoke.

 

I used to smoke cigs until they added the fire proofing shit. Shit tastes nasty as fuck now and isn't worth it at all. But I'll smoke if I'm fucked up on something or if it's a home-rolled cig.

I don't mind, seeing as my mom smoked around me since I was a little kid. I even smoke on occasion. I just HATE when people smoke in confined, closed spaces were the smell just becomes so strong and seems suffocating.

 

Im 18 i tried smoking for a couple of months and it was good but believe it or not i quit, and then i started back and got pneumonia, so i quit for good. Been clean for 3 months. I don't have a problem with smokers at all, but there better off not doing it.:'(

 

Iam smoking it from past 10 years nearly i spend $10 daily on cigarettes smoking even if i wont smoke for an hour i feel over stress with which there heart attack.
