Well Slipknot, Heading To Metal? Most People Turn To Slipknot, You Think Your Cool... The Average Nerdy, Boys Band That Wants To Be Hardcore, They Refer To You As Being A Maggot? Mabye Your Just A Fucking Faggot ? The Band Has Some Fag That Runs Around On Stage Or Hits A Fucking Tin And He's In The Band? Whats With The Masks? Someone Smeared Shit All Over Your Face So You Put A Mask On? Or Just Wanna Be Some Hardcore Dudes That Think There Cool And Scare People?

Ya i don't really get the point of this thread either slipknot is a great band and they have been around for ages so you can't really discredit them for how they present themselves.

I'd beg to differ There truly a horrible band and since when is like 10-15 years ages? in the same genre we got bile who has been around longer.
mushroomhead, thats just for that genre, you got bands like metallica, acdc, gnr, powerman5000, megadeth and many many others who have been around a bit longer.

I used to be a huge fan of Slipknot when I was younger. You will grow up and listen to better metal sometime soon. It took me about 2 years to realize there were better bands out there.

A Skylit Drive, when i saw the thread title you had me worried thinking that you like Slipknot. I'm glad you don't though, otherwise i would've lost all my respect for you lol.

My opinion on Slipknot is the same as Deadzone's. Also Deadzone, i like your avatar, it looks sweet.

 

Slipknot is probably one of the best NU-Metal bands in the world, I hate people that sit here and fucking say shit about them, when they have no idea about them. You look at these guys past, and you look at the way kids are treated now days, and you wonder why they turn to Slipknot. Their music is a whole new era. Their music is WONDERFUL. So fuck off if you don't like these guys, you have no idea. WE ARE FUCKING MAGGOTS.

I used to think the same way, I thought that nothing, abosolutely nothing could get better than Slipknot. Then I started listening to Mayhem and I was like "Oh shit, these are fucking 10 times brutaler than Slipknot." I think that was about the time I stopped listening to them.

Don't even go and tell me that I don't know what I am talking about, I had tons of shit from them I had MFKR, some Crowz songs, a live show from back in 1997, and even Omaha 98 which is a really rare show. All the videos that you see of it on YouTube were mine, of course there is no way to prove it seeing how I was a dumb and never watermarked them, but those videos were mine.

You're a scene kid aren't you? Yeah, Slipknot is no way near scene, so of course you're not going to like them. And A Skylit Drive is a band that is also scene, and no you're screamo/emo music isn't more hardcore than Slipknot, although Slipknot isn't hardcore, they just dress in a way to throw good concerts.

Anyways, my favorite song by them is The Blister Exists. I also think their latest album All Hope is Gone is a major improvement because they actually have guitar solos in some songs, but it's softer than what they used to be. I rate them 8/10.

kk personally i give slipknot a 6.8/10 they used to be about a 8/10 in my book but i have moved on to better things.....LOVE THE GENRE THOUGH!!
