Skype hacking madness,

Simple, I know its been suggested be for and is probs on DNS List (But im a badass and don't read shitty stickys)

But an Chat system with in sythe.

Example: Thetechgame.com

They have a perfect chat system, and would make it near impossible to get scammed if your trading correctly.

 

Been suggested quite a few times in the past. I think Richard's said he could make it happen, but he's not sure when. It'd be good to have an on-site chat system though. Imposter scams would go down by an immense scale.

No need. People will trade outside of sythe either way.

 

They have one on Powerbot and people still use Skype to trade.

 

Not if every ones keeps getting hacked.

As far as I know 12 people that are deemed trustworthy have had there skypes hacked just this week.

 

While this is completely unavoidable and I agree it would happen in a lot of cases...
the flip-side of the coin is that even if it cuts down the number of imposters/scams due to imposters by a small amount, wouldn't it be deemed a success?


Plus, new users would be drawn to a chat if they had any questions as opposed to just guessing and getting scammed/spamming on accident/posting in the wrong section/etc


It's not an end-all be-all suggestion but I feel it has a lot to offer the community as a whole.


People will still scam and spam and continue to break rules unintentionally unfortunately but anything that could possibly cut down on all three at once must be at least considered, right?

 

The idea's already being entertained. The problem is the security of the addon. Either it'll happen, or it won't. This suggestion won't help the process.
