I don't see why one person should have authority over another to force them to live a healthy life.

If they're writing it off as a diesease then yes, yes they should be. I mean I understand a condition where nobody has any selfcontrol and can't stop eating, but then they should be forced to get some self control, just like the other diseases that aren't illness wise.

then again, if they are dealing with it and not going with "It's a disease" thing let them do whatever the hell they want.

 

Well, what if someone forced you to stop going on the internet because it is better for your health. Get some self control, gawd.

 

If they want to be fat, than they can be fat, it's there body.

In Italy they actually pay people for losing weight, not dieting/exercise just weight loss in general.

 

To be honest, you can't necessarily "force" anybody to be on a diet, unless they are a child of your own. Even then, they really can't be "forced".. Being obese myself is pretty biased to be honest, but it's simple logic. Anyways, yes, all obese people should "consider" a diet, but you can't force them.

 

He meant control over what they do with themselves.

BTW, I say this thread should be closed, it isn't much to debate I haven't found one person disagree from the general opinions.

No, they shouldn't. It's theyre own body so they do what they want. That come from each person to be conscious or not.

Because with fat comes many bad things as you know, not only the weight.

 

There should be something preventing pepole from letting there kids stay inside all day. Thats a major factor =/

 

haha tgump! made me lqtm, but yea why is everyone so hung up about diets? if you exercise an insane amount every day you don't need to diet, my reccomended caloire intake is like 6500 but I only eat like 3500

 

No...it's still their life and their body. If they want to stay inside they can.

 

My views on this subject are, that overindulging is not the problem,
but the lack of exercise is the leading issue. They should be monitored
that they their exercises daily, to keep themselves safe.

Not 100%, if they are unwilling to go outside and be active, they're parents have the responsibility to push them. No one wants to be obese and have health issues in the future, they're parents are the ones that are suppose to educate them and show them the better way.

 

No, anorexia causes the mind to think it's fat no matter how skinny they get. At that point it's not the fact they wanna be skinny they HAVE to be skinny. Their mind tells them that everyone else is wrong they are STILL too fat and they need to lose weight.

Obesity on the other hand, many people do realize they have a problem but have a tough time getting off food. It's about self control there.

 

If your fat and dont want to die then consider a diet.
