    Should I join the airforce?

Past expiriences? Why you say that?
    How come though?? any reasons?
I'll leave my girlfriend if I have too. Whats would happen if I had a shitty job because I didn't want to leave her. . .she would probably leave me.
Like what? I'm kinda into things like that. I went sky diving/shark diving/I fly little cessna's lol. I don't want to be bored with my job either.
I'll ask her her opinion, but in the end I don't think it'll matter
Really? Good to hear...but why so?
Well I'm usually dedicated to everything I do. I would definatly be dedicated in the airforce because if I fuck up I'll have a shitty job lol.

Thanks for your input so far guys!

Well, which of these 2 do you want to do, Enlsit in the Airforce for...4-8 years, and then go back home and get a real job.

    2. AFter you've served in the airforce, you might be able to get Coast Gaurd, ect.

    3. Stay in the airforce, and try and move higher amongst the ranks.

    3, sorry, not 2.

Now why would you even say that? He may be risking his life for freedom. Now how bad does that seem?

If you can step up to the fact that you can die in the airforce, then yes.

    haha nice nice.
Probably move up in the ranks if I were to join the airforce.

...sigh thanks for the intelligent post!
    Thanks =)
Mmm, I think I'm past college right now, I'm completely fucking up in the college I'm in right now. I let my mom talk me into going to it when I really didn't want too. So if I do join the airforce, I want to get ASAP. Like next week if I could.
definitely get a better life from it I feel.

It is common knowledge that the military does not care about the individual recruit, only about their own recruitment quotas. They'll promise you ice cream, and serve you a pile of shit.

Talk to several people who have experience in the air force (or any branch of the military), and who do not have a vested interest in getting you to join.

    Should I join the airforce?

Oh I know that first hand. Last year when I was considering airforce (before my mom talked me into the shit college I currently go to) My recruiter took me to take my asvab and took me to the airforce base himself.

He came off to be the friendliest guy on the face of the earth. I was 17 at the time (minor), and I was all gun-ho to join the airforce BUTTT I needed my moms signature on the papers for me to actually enlist and go when I get out of highschool. My mom wouldn't go for it because she didn't want to be responsible for me joining and she told me to wait until I turned 18. I said Ok because I knew she was right.

I told my recruiter this, he completely flipped shit. Like went nuts, I later found that he was so pissed because when I did sign up that 1 and a half year later he wouldn't be the recruiter for long island. Thus not getting his recruit(me) to sign under his name.

how old are you now? if you don't mind me asking.

I hate when people say this -.-. If you want to play that card like that, Marine corps. = tougher. Airforce = smarter. You need a higher asvab test to join the airforce than the marines.

Both what you said, and what I just said are both stupid. Although you do need a higher asvab score.

ALL of the branches serve a part of the military. If each branch of the military was the same why bother creating different branches. They're all in charge of different tasks.

Let me guess your source of your information was from a former/current marine? Don't get me wrong I have a load of respect for the marines. . .every branch actually. But to say one is more respected then the other is silly.

Don't join for the wrong reasons.

    Wrong reason: benefits

Right reason: You want to serve your country

Otherwise your death will be in vain because your true goal was unaccomplished.

I thought about joining the Marines but I do not support the "war" we are in.

Yeah but if your like not caring what we're fighting for just as long as your fighting for the US then jump on it dude. More power to you.

    Should I join the airforce?

I joined the Marines when I was seventeen. It costed me my girl-friend and my free education. But, I would do it over again if I had to. The cause of me joining the Marines was the fact that I needed a career, I had no real special interests, I was interested in serving my country, and the sudden realization that if my girl-friend really loved me then she would stick by me when I was in the Marines. In my basic opinion if you think you have nothing more really to look forward to then the Airforce might be a good start to looking for something to look forward to. If you decide to do so good-luck.
