Service bans Ironman

Hi guys,
Just curious. What are the chances of one of the my ironman accounts being over 1.2k total having a skill service done being banned. I payed via btc so there is no gp rwt trace.

I haven't purchased any services on any accounts since jagex stated that services are bannable.

Would be interested to hear how many of you with similar circumstances haven't or have been banned, and whether the account was banned temp or perm

There aren't any set chances as there are many variables and we can only predict how Jagex reacts.

You could still get banned if the service provider uses bots or illegal plugins. You could also get banned if the worker does not use a safe VPN/Proxy but has a flagged IP address. The latter is common among service workers from countries like Venezuela. Jagex seems to target these countries more, even when 100% playing legit.

Adding on to what Zora said, if your account does get banned, there is a good chance your account would be unbanned if you appeal the ban saying your account was hacked.

(Note - this isn’t 100% correct. It’s only a possibility that it would get unbanned)

This does not work with RWT related bans - however there is a possibility if it is banned for botting.

Yes, this is what I meant, bot ban not RWT. Also, from personal experience, I was able to appeal the bans right away and did not have to wait 1 year or whatever to appeal the ban.

Hey,

I run a services Discord with over 2K members and personally we haven't had any bans lately. My workers all use a VPN and the same country as the customer is coming from. In your case it would be a good idea to ask if the worker can use a VPN to connect to your account of the same country (and make sure that they have killswitch enabled).

Most of the services bans (from our history as service provider) are actually a false botting ban (2day botting ban) this comes from the fact that there is a ip address change together with huge soms of xp being gained, which makes it look like botting behaviour from the point of view from jagex.

Make sure that you are not playing on the account yourself and only let the worker on. In my opinion changing ip addresses often raises suspicion of Jagex and makes the chances of getting caught more likely.

Also always ask for proof of RuneLite screenshots of all the levels/quests gained during your service. Hence you know that the service was handdone.

Given that this is a back-handed advertisement, and the original poster is an unsuspecting newcomer, I feel an obligation to point out that the the discord being advertised was found to be botting on accounts that were selling as hand trained. Not trying to call you out, but want to ensure OP understands the risk associated with account servicing as this is exactly what he's afraid of.

Before working with any service provider, be sure to read their ToS and negotiate some sort of compromise and agreed upon value of your account / compensation in the instance that something happens with a botting/RWT ban.

Not sure how this is backhanded advertising. I never tell him to join my Discord or choose my services i just tell him what my experience in the field is and try to help him the best way possible here. Not sure if you noticed but nowhere on my Sythe posts there is any link to my Discord.

 

I've had a lot of services done for my accounts and I've done a few yet never been banned
