Selling gold via PP.Chargebacks.

Hello everyone,

i have a question mainly addressed to those who sells gold.As we all know Paypal is highly "charhebackable".Considering this, i assume that you dont sell gold to everyone.What do you do if a new commer comes and wants to buy some gold.Do you ask for other payment option(if yes which) or dont sell at all?

Another thing that i was wondering and assuming that the potential scammer would not bother to chargeback low amounts.Is it true, and what are safe amounts in your opinion?

Any other advice is much appreciated.

People charge back all amounts; I've seen things below $10 charged back several times. As for large goldsellers taking paypal from you, I would recommend going to their websites, hopping on livechat, and asking what they can do for you. Like you said, it's unlikely that direct paypal will work; they might send you through PlayerAuctions or ask for bitcoin or something - but don't ask me, ask them directly!

 

Had a 90 cent chargeback once, these people are ruthless.

 

If it's a low amount usually the proof of ownership of the email attached to the account via forwarded payment receipt is enough.

If the purchase is for a decent amount, usually gold sellers ask for some type of ID to prove they own the paypal account.

 

Lol why would you even have a 90 cent sale? Paypal charges a flat rate of 30 cents per transaction, you practically scammed yourself.

There are multiple ways to help prevent chargebacks, having customers provide documents only they would have. Refer to playerauctions or skrill if you do want to run into many problems.

 

Paypal is the worst freaking company on the face of the Earth.


Their so bad, I no longer even TAKE paypal towards my gold/rsps gold/cs:go.


Their systems are legit complete guesswork, I'd take say $20 paypal without ID and win it but when I take $200 with ID I lost it.

Crap Company, Nothing makes u "safe" like people believe, I took I don't even know how many gold orders with ID under lalapo we still lost.

People need to stop using paypal and move into skrill, it is my PERSONAL belief that paypal is used by scammers mainly which is very biased but its my OPINION.

 

I would never accept paypal from anybody because there are more legitimate ways to trade money, and if they say paypal is the only way they can do it, they are probably using their moms credit card or scamming. And either case you'll eventually give somebody free GP.

 

So if you get a chargeback, you can throw ID in a case as an evidence?

I have heard that skrill is way more safer than PP.Why is that?I will probably register there too.

 

If you haven't heard yet, a lot of reputable sellers on Sythe use PlayerAuctions as a payment method, not just to guard against scammers, but also to protect their personal payment sources from getting limited by PayPal/Skrill.

Skrill is better than PayPal for virtual goods, but they are not foolproof. They operate as an aggregator (the same model as PayPal), so if the user initiates a chargeback directly at the bank level, Skrill... like PayPal, will not close in favor of the seller (they have an interest in protecting their own aggregated account).

With PA, you don't need to worry about that, as long as you abide by our delivery guidelines.

What can you suggest?Would like to get some advice on alternative methods like Skrill.

 

For pure security and anonymity try bitcoin.

Also pre-paid PP mycash cards could work for you

My questions are: Does paypal customer services is that shit, let's say if someone sent me $50 for my services, ID confirmation was provided with that payment.
And if it ends up being charged back, what do you do exactly provide the ID confirmation what else?
Do any of you called Paypal and had an intelligent conversation?
How did it go?
How difficult is it to contact one of the staff from Paypal?
How do you convince a customer to use Bitcoin or Skrill and all those other payment methods?

 

Bitcoin looks like a real nice alternative, i will need to research it a little bit more though.

From what i have heard and my personal expierence,i can tell that Paypal's customer support is the worst on the planet.To be honest the only good thing about PP, is amount of people using it and easiness of the system, rest are bullshit.

 

Paypal charge back system is pretty ridiculous but they make money so they don't really give a fuck.

 

Paypal is not really a good method for receiving payments, depending on the users trustworthiness. Even with trusted users some of them still rage quit and charge you back stupid crap like that. I'd use skrill or BTC something like that and use Paypal as a last resort unless you have good verification methods.
