Playerauctions Support is a joke

So the other day, we went ahead and delivered a 10b RS3 order to a customer on Playerauctions.

Playerauctions is now requiring proof and is refusing to pay me out for the 317M Shards that is delivered because of the following reasons:





Fun fact: Buyer didn't even dispute or claim that product wasn't received, so they're trying to refund buyer with no reason at all

Spirit shards may be used to replace money due to their guaranteed buy and sell price of 25 coins each. This is useful for players who have more wealth than the max cash limit of 2,147,483,647 coins, the maximum possible value of a 32-bit signed binary integer. It is also used by players who are trading for items that are worth more than the aforementioned value.

The max amount of coins you can trade is 2,147m. Customer ordered 10,000m. Spirit shards are literally a form of currency and can be swapped for 25gp each whenever he desires. It is IMPOSSIBLE to trade 10,000M in coins. Can someone explain these unqualified agents that spirit shards are a guarenteed buy and sell of 25 gp each. Support quality keeps going downhill, this isn't acceptable

I mainly made this thread so that other people can publicly confirm that shards are indeed worth 25 each, and are a guaranteed buy and sell at that rate.

As well as confirming that trading spirit shards on large orders is extremely common on Runescape 3

But yes, I have reached out to Playerauctions via Sythe DM, and am awaiting a response

 

Well, I can confirm that for you as I have plenty experience trading and using playerauctions myself.

Spirit shards can be sold to any General Store or purchased at the Summoning Store in Taverley for a flat rate of 25 coins per shard.

 

We are currently in touch with PA about a couple concerns this report has brought to light and are awaiting some more information.

We are working alongside Searchy to find a resolution and clarification because Shards should count as gold and have worked for orders in the past.

Will keep you all updated.

 

Received a response today, they ended up valueing shards at 24 gp each which ended in the buyer getting a refund of $15.22. It is what it is, this can be closed

 

Thanks for the update Searchy glad this has moved a step in the right direction.

However, I am still unhappy with the fact that the shards were counted at the incorrect value and the denseness of the support you are receiving.

We are going to follow up on this one more time to try and explain the correct value of shards since this wouldn't fly as defense for a trade done on discord.

I have removed a post for being not involved with the report and to clarify for anyone who read it;
When selling spirit shards to a General Store you can simply hit "Sell All" and sell them all at once up to the maximum amount of GP you can hold.

 

Sorry for leaving this one hanging so long it took awhile to get a response.

Unfortunately it looks like PA will not be able to refund the order in full and are standing by their decision to value the spirit shards at 24 GP each, which is incorrect.

I will be issuing a TWC to PlayerAuctions, they have been a large part of the market in the past several years but I simply don't agree with their ruling. Sythe users should use PA with caution because we cannot offer support here.

IF you are a seller on Playerauctions please confirm with your buyer using the inbox system on site before delivering anything other than gold coins to prevent this from happening to you.
