Seems to be a bit of a double standard with Rekface

Rekface was banned for posting porn, which meh, I didn't see the picture so I have no idea if it was deserving.

But this? How is that not considered porn? She's practically not wearing anything. I don't mind having porn on the forums, but not if you have a rule specifically stating that it's not allowed.

 

I can't even look at that gif because the dot on her back pisses me off.

 

That's not considered nudity, the picture Rekface posted was. You could clearly see the girl's nipple & skin/skin color.

 

So would posting a picture of a girl's torso completely naked except with covered nipples be ok, under this rule?

 

Technically that isn't nudity according to most websites like Youtube and Facebook.

EDIT: Even though I think booty should be considered nudity as well, there's barely anything covering that lol.

 

Exactly this. although I must say usually the underboob/nipple have to be covered.

 

She's basically not covered at all, there's no difference between her not having pants on or not.

Basically and isn't is the difference I feel in this discussion. Having not seen the picture posted, it's near impossible to accurately argue for one side or the other, however.

 

What rekface posted was definitely deserving of a 1 month ban. It was a highly suggestive picture of a chick with a wet t shirt with her nipple and outline showing through the fabric. The rule & punishment is there for a reason which he decided to break.

Shall Skill's signature certainly is a suggestive picture but as per various definitions, would not be classed as pornography. If it bothers you or are at a work setting I'd advise to either disable signatures (I view sythe without signatures enabled) or to ad-block his signature.

I think what happened had to happen; even though it's suggestive, it isn't by any means nudity by YouTube's/Facebook's ruling.

 

Full month though? Seems more reasonable that it'd be a week ban.. over to the reform thread I guess

Source? After I reviewed the rules I changed my mind about the reform, it's posted in many places and allowed in upper spam.

Does anyone remember that other thread in the spam forum where someone doxed/posted someone's personal information but wasn't punished because he edited it out? Rekface also edited his post before the report was dealt with, but was still punished.

Granted I don't exactly recall the circumstances behind the former instance, and I don't think that this ban was misplaced by any means, but I do feel there could have been room for leniency especially after reading his initial dispute (and the fact that it was in enough of a "grey area" that he thought it would be appropriate/not ban-worthy to post it)...

 

His ban was deserved, and Shall Skill's signature doesn't cross the line of being porn. /thread
