Samsung Galaxy S2 VS iPhone 4S! - POLL -

That is awesome... Just prooves the point I am trying to make, Samsung Galaxy S2 is the WAAAAY FORWARD!

Iphone for sure i don't know but it just seems to be alot of user-friendly than the samsung.

 

The iPhone is an amazing phone and you get well more then what you pay for.

On the other hand the galaxy s2 is larger, faster, worse on battery life.

Honestly this debate boils down to iOS or Android.

 

According to official specs, it holds for over 3x more than the iPhone. It also has twice the RAM, and radiates considerably less than the IP.

 

The Samsung is a better phone that the iPhone, period. Like the person above said, the hardware is better and it is a lot cheaper. Apple marks up all their products ridiculously high and the carriers are actually taking the brunt of the cost (they pay $600 or more dollars per iPhone). The iPhone 5 might beat out the competition, but right now Apple is falling behind big time.

The iPhone is just an iTouch with 3G. If you want an iOS device, get an iPod.

Android is much more powerful, free, and much more flexible than any other OS. iOS, on the other hand, is closed. You have to connect to Wifi to do much of anything. You can't download files off the browser. You can't customize beyond the wallpaper.

If you actually like the iPhone, you probably have NOT had any other smartphone before in your life, and you sicken me.

At first, I had a Nexus one. I loved it, but my contract ended and I wanted to try something new. I got an iPhone 4... and I have to say... That phone was excruciatingly boring. I would spend hours on my Android just customizing my homescreen. There's nothing to do on the iPhone. The games that are on the iOS market are all on the Android market. Hell, right now Android has way better apps and games than iOS does. The iPhone might as well just be called a dumbphone. There's nothing really special or smart about it. I recently switched to a Galaxy Nexus, and I am glad I did.

Wow, the s2 owns the iphone in nearly all departments there.

SuF said iphone 5 might beat their competition when it comes out which might be correct and it's a good point. Remember though, iPhones are released once a year, HTC will bring out 3-4 phones better than the iPhone 5, with iPhone getting beaten again.

 

The only thing I hate about my iPhone is that you can't facetime unless your connected to the WiFi. Never used a Galaxy S2 but a friend of mine said they would rather get a iPhone

 

Everyone I know who owns a 4S has to charge it every night. I can leave my S2 for 3 days or more without charging it, and I use it actively throughout the day.

 

My grandma got a Galaxy S (lol) And I've been able to use it while teaching her how the market works etc. And TBH, the main issue I have found with it is that it is not as stable as the iPhone. The Android OS is shifted from platform to platform, and apps are incompatible between phones and so on, making indie developing (important for me) very difficult, and not really letting all the phones match up. The iPhone, in the other hand, is stable and really is able to withstand the tasks I put it to.
Other than that, the two phones are pretty similar, and a few small things like screen size won't deter me from the fact that stability is the key here for an effective phone.

Especially because, Yes, I Agree, They are easy to use, But the Samsung Galaxy S2 is one of the best Handsets out there for business People.

Blackberry stated that all business men should be using one, But Blackberry's are shit and Going out of fashion. All my mates used to have BlackBerry's but sold them for the iPhone 4S / Samsung Galaxy S2.

The Galaxy S2 is obviously the better phone in nearly every imaginable way in terms of specifications and physical form.. anyone denying that notion simply can't get over the fact that their beloved iPhone is not the pinnacle of all that is smartphone technology. However, I think one of the main reasons people prefer the iPhone is simply for aesthetic purposes. Let's face it, Apple doesn't make something if they can't strap a fancy/sexy aluminum case on it. People eat that shit up, period. The OS is also a lot easier to use for someone who is not so technologically inclined. For someone like me (I consider myself very technologically inclined) though, the Android OS is far superior in pretty much every way. It is far less restrictive than iOS is, first of all... most of the reasons people jailbreak their iPhones is so they can access features that Android has by default. You can use the argument that iOS stacks up to Android in terms of the feature department when you jailbreak it, but I fail to see how/why I should be required to circumvent these preventive measures in order to access a feature that is already readily available on other platforms. I just can't justify it in a rational way. Android also appeals to the inner geek in me.. iOS can't even come close to the level of customization offered by Android.

Not to mention Apple is trying to establish themselves as a monopoly pretty much.... How anyone can support them throughout their recent patent trolling episodes is beyond me. All they're trying to do is eliminate the competition in the most underhanded way possible. Personally, I think software patents are fucking bullshit. When you get down to it, all software breaks down into code, which in turn breaks down into math. Are we really so narcissistic to think that someone can own the rights to a fucking equation? It's stupid.

 

It really depends on whether you want a really easy, sexy, simple phone or something with a bit more performance but maybe a little less user-friendly. I'm personally going with the iPhone just because I have one and I really enjoy it's easyness to use, and the applications on it are fantastic. Combined with Jailbreaking, I'm never bored when I'm with my phone.
