Runescape "Logs" - Locking of Old threads

Alrighty,

In the Runescape Pictures/Video section we have a Sub-section of "Runescape Progress logs"

Suggestion:

There should be a rule / set time frame of which if someone reports a thread to spam , and it hasn't been updated or replied by a few people within a certain Time frame the thread should get locked.

There are a lot of OLD log threads that get bumps up because someone wanted post count , and the thread does not get update therefore isn't even a 'Log' because we can't see progress.


I know it already happens now when mods get around to it... , but not enough as it should. So with members reporting these threads , it should help out the mods , and remove some off the old threads.


Thoughts?

 

Report them when they happen. My favorite type of infraction to issue is for gravedigging.

 

I always do , what I'm trying to imply here is there needs to be a Set time frame of which the thread is in the "Grave"

A guidline for members who report threads.

i.e 2 weeks? 10 days? etc.

 

I do not see what te problem is with members with completed goals having their threads continue past progression. Let them get their recognition I say.

 

I don't think you understood his suggestion right. He is suggesting that after a set amount of time without an update by the OP, the thread is considered "in the grave" and should be locked.

Although OP is banned, I don't support. Just report it and it will get taken care of.

 

This. I say any more than a couple weeks since the thread was updated and it deserves to be closed.
