Not going to lie, dual monitors really kicked ass on this thread!

OT: I have a blue h'ween in my bank that has been there since 2003. I plan to keep it until the day I quit for good. It's people like me that are causing the price in rares to increase

 

I was thinking this too

the only way for them to drop would be if someone started playing again and for some reason hoarded around 10k rares from 2001... that would make the price lower. the chances of that happening are slim though...

 

BOTS BOTS BOTS BOTS BOTS and more BOTS also combined with legit player you have over supply! The days of gathering herbs, picking flax, mining and other tedious jobs have all but been taken over by bots. Its simple back in the day before the bots that we have today many people "legit people" would do those tasks to make money. It was actually "somewhat rare" to see multiple bots in one area granted there were some. Now a days there are bots everywhere! more then ever! some people have actaully multi bots farming. Bots are creating a supply that has far exceeded the demand.

 

Tbh I miss those days, it was fun actually talking to people, and back then even the Chinese goldfarmers didn't bot, I remember a couple of them played legit. Now a days I have had people say they bot in public chat and not get banned.

Also the only way rares can drastically drop is if they are given as rewards again from another event. But Jagex won't do that so its almost worry free.

 

the other way of rares dropping in price is if jagex happen to ban like every single botter this would remove TONS of gold out of the economy.. but from the looks of it i think jagex gonna just let the bottin companies do what they do, then just shut the servers down cause they cant handle it.


then when they feel they have the bots under control (in like a year of getting security up and ready - probably making runescape a download game) installing some type of hackshield, improving the graphics - making everyone restart and then to get rid of RWT (for the time being) start another rare drop for the first year the game is out.
