What do you think the total value of the runescape economy is?

500m usd is much for virtual money, if they would sell it to rsgp selling companies then they would just spawn it to make insane profit.
But if u do that then the game is over and they won't make new money, in long term jagex will have more money than if they sell the rsgp to them.

 

As it is a virtual economy, it's real value is only that big what people offer for it...
meaning it's worth is virtual, not real...

100,000,000,000 x .45 (.45 being the price, not sure if this is accurate, maybe a lowball)

If they made 1% profit off of this gold it would come to.

Gold doesn't *enter* the economy from bots, bots only deflate the value of the supply of gold, by saturating resources into the economy, causing their price to decrease. The only way gold is created is from selling things to general stores, monster drops, alching, etc.

Thats what I meant, by normal people actually using legit methods to make gold, i was talking bout monster drops being sold or people alching items for profit.

 

Are you fucking stupid lol, GP price is calculated per MILLION not per GP, so 1B=1000M, 10B=10000M, 100B=100000M, 1000B=1000000M

Your using this example R2Pleasent:
1000000M*0,6(lowest possible avg)= 600K traded in 5 years. BUT, he resells. So his profit is maybey 5-20 cents every mill lets say 1000000*0,15=150K profit. So its about 30K per year, based if he is trading 5 years.

 

I doubt Jagex would ever sell RSGP, if it was found out there would be huge consequences.

My guess is over $1B.

 

Lots of thieving bots etc. do create cash

 

I think alching would be the bigger problem.

Nothing scales as terribly as pvp statuettes did, though.

The value of the entire rwting economy is something like 500m. I think Runescape is one of the smaller rwting games however.
