Runescape Accounts - what is really rare? [GUIDE]

As far as I know there are no accounts with both forum AND player mod abilities. Having been a player mod myself for about a year in 2006, the rule always was to be one or the other. I also asked a friend who is still a mod, and he confirmed this was still true. Helios(cant remember the numbers after his name) is a good example of this, he was a very well known as a forum mod, and right away after resigning from forum mod, he was offered a player mod status.

Also, could you place the value on maxed accounts? Those are quite rare, though they are becoming more common with time.

 

Theres so many different things to look into when deciding on a price to an account that I can't really say I price, but for 138 combat I'd say average would be around 1400 USD. I'd have to know more details about the account. And your wrong about the p/f mod thing, I can't say exactly how I know your wrong...but you are >_<.

is it true that there are some accounts that start with spaces? something like "--hell" or something , because i heard there was but idk if they are jsut rumours or not?

snowboard, once again you made a good post, but not entirely of truths. (im the guy who corrected you on a few points with warships, not just some asshole)

first with the scythe and bunny ears, you might want to point out that another important detail is that there were only a few actual drops, and it was only that one day. not like now days where you get a whole week and everyone is guaranteed to get one, a good number of people who WERE on rs at the time just didn't find one because everyone else took them

something to add to the rare names is that most rare names were just recovered, even to this day you can recover rare names (that havent been used) if you know how. (and there was a glitch a while ago that made recovering unused accounts super easy)

and smuppet man was not first, a few people got 99 mage with 10hp, 50 combat. and i think some people got 99 range, but i haven't looked into that (its hard to tell now days because of soul wars)

and the first untrimmed summoning was lorica (villandra again) she didn't really use a cannon, she just did all her training on charm droppers, so untrimmed summoning isn't actually rare, anyone could do it if they didn't powerlevel (grinding, not paying Chinese websites)

you could also add names with mod in them, you havent been able to make them for years and i guess they are rare now. also accounts that have quest items from quests they didn't do (like the silver light, because it was trade able at one time)

 

Hmm, I find it funny you make a guide ranging prices etc, when you actually have lots of these accounts for sale.

Smuppetman also happened to be your account, which you are selling, which you put 100-400$, overpriced? I think so.

For the most part.. This is a nice guide, I just find it weird how priced accounts looks like it's managed by your account shop.

 

Cake, thanks for the post - this guide was quite rushed and yes - your facts all true other than, I think your mistaking a few things. Recovering accounts was used by crackers aswell, as another form of cracking which is now fixed I beleive. Also, the silverlight was never tradeable, but there was a glitch in construction (houses) that made it able to take stuff like legends cape, silverlight, etc out of someone elses house. I'll definitly note the rest of the info in my guide though...thanks.

Smuppetman was overpriced because he was famous. And if you've noticed - alot of the prices on here are lower than what they are in my account shop. This is because I am trying to show people that certain types of accounts are as rare as they beleive, as to not get scammed. Thanks for the post though.

i havent heavily looked into the reason people had silver light and such, but i have seen an account with a silver light that didn't do the quest, so maybe they did that. either way its still "rare"

another rarity might be accounts with 0xp in skills you do on tutorial island, namely the ones you do before the rat cage (you could escape tut island without any combat). the only way to get 0xp in them would be to make the account before the tutorial came out, get wiped like 9hp accounts, or some other strange glitch. (on the last day the old cave tutorial was out, i made an account and it skipped the mining/smithing part, 0xp PPPP)"=

and are RSC accounts rare, or are they out of your league (as in, you don't trade them)

oh, and there is a notable rumor that "jad says hii" is close to enough points for 99 slayer (over 2000 currently, ill see if i can find any evidence on that)
