And changeing a price isnt that easy, cuz most of the stuff can be created or bought..

we already do set the prices...... we pick how much we want to sell why else is prices gonig up and down....... also the fact of demand..... only reason phats,santa, and all those are high in price is because there are only like a certain amount in runescape. Unlike rune helm if we sell for 250k who would buy? whats the difference if we sell for 250k and 20k? if we sell for 250k than other stuff gonig to go up in price.

for example

you want a abby whip and it costs 5m(because we did manage price) .
you dont have the 5m so you sell your items to buy one.
your items sell for 250k for rune helm
rune body for 500k
etc.
than you get 5m.
whats the difference in selling all your stuff to get 5m when you can sell your stuff and like 1.5m its the same thing. if many things go up in price than other stuff is gonna go high in price


also the fact that there are only a certain amount of people on sythe

even if EVERYONE on sythe joined it would probably only like 5% of the whole runescape community

 

very hard to argue with that one...
anyways i totally agree it would just cause a rswide inflation even if you did get every1 to help out which i DOUBt... there would be at least one guy sellling 10-50k less than you to make a quick buck...and how would you communicate with 5k+ people at one time...impossible... nice idea though... *claps*

for example if bs went up or down flax would too and all those wood and stuff also if ores than armour...... 1 things leads to another

than all the prices are up and it would be the same exact thing as now when prices are the way they are.

let me tell you a story about me and a group of 200 people who had that same idea...

a clan of 200 people had that same idea a year ago...
we gathered supplies then 150 of us logged into world 2 and the other 50 went to various worlds stating the prices and selling stuff. people were like I can buy for blah we were like fine go and check prices. we then procceded to sell our supplies and items for incrediblely high prices.
overall the clan made 2bil rsgp. the next day we went to log in and all of our accounts were perm banned for gaining and ruining the economy.

so go ahead try if you want. infact do it because I want there to be less noobs on rs

Nonmember items and make-able or buyable items wont work, go for rares man

 

You don't need all the merchants, just about 10 who all log in at the same time, and set the prices in one world.

 

You can't possibly raise prices. Even if you could get every merchant to raise a price, all it would take is one realizing "Hey I can sell for a little less than the ridiculous price and still make a ton." This would domino effect and reset the price to normal. Actually it's the reason prices don't get out of hand in the first place.

And then they leeve that world or wait to buy it later. You won't get someone to pay 500% of the normal price. Take it from an economic major.
