RSN on sythe?

Does it matter if i use my rsn on sythe?

Not like an account name but if i was to take a pic of something and didnt block out my name,

I'm not too sure if Jagex looks at this website, but if you're going to include your name, don't type "Anthrax666 here selling this account!". That way they have no proof that the account is yours.

 

It's not the brightest idea, as the J-Mods ban Sythe users regularly during their coffee breaks. Especially if you're a goldseller or participate in the Black Market, don't release your RSN.

If you tend to stay in the pics and/or RS General section, it probably won't matter.

 

if its a pic, they will probably investigate it, and as most people bot here they will realize you bot and ban you its like free tips for them

 

I know if I were a J-Mod, I'd most likely browse all the cheating sites and try to find rule breakers to ban.


I wouldn't risk posting your RSN if I were you.

 

I think there's a risk especially if you write that your going to sell the account or something, I wouldn't take that risk.

it takes like half a second to put a black box over your name so why even risk it?

I believe it is safe. If they banned people because of there Sythe username, Zezima would be banned.

 

Jagex DOES look at this site.
So, I would always recommend blocking out your name etc.

With Zezima being a long-term #1 ranker, I'm quite sure Jagex had a personal relationship with him and know he never cheated. I know for a fact that if I owned a game and there was some pipsqueak keeping #1 for years on end, I'd be monitoring the shit out of his account.

As far as some of the more famous people, or people with higher levels and more valuable items on the accounts, I'm sure they do a little background research before doing any ban hammering. If they see someone trying to sell some lvl 40 with 75 fishing on it, no doubt they'll wipe it like mother never did.


As far as rare names and such, if people wanna know what the name of an account is, I'd suggest keeping it to PMs or MSN.

 

Jagex can not legally view this site... from what I heard... unless I am thinking of Mopar or something :s.

 

they cant proove that thats your rs name, i could say my name on rs is elvemage. And post a few pics... but thats not me =D

Anyways, sythe users have had their chars been banned by giving out their rsn and posting too much info of selling/buying rsgp or botting.

Check RIDs MTA Bot thread about this, he pretty much "proved" it. the only ones banned from using his bot aside from those who were past users who were caught in the past, were those who gave too much info away on sythe. everyone else who keep their info private have not been banned at all.

 

I wouldn't risk it since unregistered users can see the forums as well.
