Has anyone ever used this site for VPS hosting? If so, is it any good? Can it run as many bots as it claims? Is it generally pretty fast?

I'm considering buying the '2-3 bots, $9.95/month' package, but I don't really want to pay that plus a $4.95 setup fee if the hosting is bad or overloaded (like a previous VPS I used)

    http://www.rsbotvps.com/

    Thanks!

Floydzepplin(a sythe user) uses it and he says it runs rather smoothly.

Honestly, i've heard so much better from www.burst.net..cheaper too!

    Burst.net costs the same amount.

With the linux vps, will I have to set anything up myself? Or will it all be done for me? I've only ever used a windows vps.

I'm not sure how the botting will work on a linux, but i'm positive it's relatively similar.

Basically, it's windows with the icons looking different. The advanced technological differences aren't going to be used in your case.

Linux itself usually comes in the form of a unix command line(Like DOS) where you have to type commands to run things, etc.

Most likely, you will need to install the GUI to make it seem like windows. This is probably going to be called Gnome on your system. Installing this is very easy to do, and not only that your provider might even do it for you.

Installing gnome is as simple as a few command lines and a step-by-step process.

    Good luck

I ordered the package, lets hope all goes well.

Does anyone know how long they tend to take setting up your server?

rsbotvps is a BurstNet reseller If I'm not mistaken.
They have the same packages for the same price with the same software.

A 9.95 BurstNet VPS can run 2 bots, I tried running a third and it wasn't enough.

If you wanna get one, buy a CentOS 5.5 VPS and I'll help you set it up :) Button is in my sig to my thread.

It's run by someone from Sythe; don't remember who, though. It's just a burst.net reseller.

Fair enough, thanks for the replies, I went ahead and bought it. Very pleased with it, pretty fast, runs 2 bots no problem (Haven't tried 3 yet). Definetly worth it for $9.95 a month :noworry:

    Lock, please ^_^

I personally would never pay for a VPS service.. I'll just bot on my comp..with my growing collection of awesome free scripts.
