Pretty sure Richard as taken the law pretty serious around here, especially regarding his administrators. But maybe you could ask him yourself?

Abandon thread, there's no reasoning to be had anymore with you. Originally, I assumed that you were only being used as n4n0's puppet to instigate a groupthink mentality on Hattez's pardons so that other staff wouldn't resist. It's clear to me now that you have absolutely no clue what you are doing or any knowledge of the situation - period. In addition to this, you are quoting an obscure and incredibly broad state law as a ban reason.

I agree with everything said, good illustration on the situation by explaining each role in depth. Let's see how far this can get us.

 

Kind of laughable seeing admins dissenting like this in public.

This isn't very hard.

1.) If you are going to make it so 1 admin can veto a pardon, make the change official on the pardon process thread (this is pretty unfair, however, if this was put into effect after hattez's pardon.) He should be grandfathered.

2.) It's obvious there is disagreement amongst staff on this pardon. Instead of bickering with each other on a feedback thread, perhaps you could have a discussion in the staff lounge regarding the user's fate.

3.) Get an opinion from Richard. He makes the call if this can be vetoed by one person. If it can, then make a clause in the pardon process rules and move on (see 1.).

As far as a ban is concerned, though, hattez was screwed here. He was punished far worse than he should have been and it feels like you are trying to make an example out of an otherwise good user of the site.

TL;DR: Do what you want, but do it right.

"The law". You do realize that there are users on this site from every single state and every single developed country? If you combined all of the world's laws, and made breaking any of them a perm bannable, unpardonable offence, there wouldn't be a user left on this site tomorrow.

Here's a tip - how about, instead of trying to follow every single law from every location in every country accessed by users of this site, we make a list of very specific guidelines that users have to follow, and specify the exact penalties for not following those guidelines.

That picture made me laugh out loud so thanks for that. I'm not n4no anything, I am a staff member that actually does know what has been happening. He is trying to play the staff against one another and saying that he is entailed to a fair pardon. While all staff want users to get a fair pardon, this user isn't eligible for you. Point blank. I quoted laws and sythe rules that were broken to prove the point because everyone is saying this is over personal information.

Truth is it's not. He has had malice attempts to disrupt the site, break laws and is only in this to stir up drama by claiming unfair treatment. The fact that we keep putting up and explaining our-self should prove otherwise. Honestly it's getting old because this is becoming a weekly thing. They have no remorse for their actions and you keep thinking they did nothing wrong but we as staff know they did and they are wasting all the staffs time.

Are all sythe rules. As for the legal laws you're correct I'm sure I could find a whole jump of laws in there that he has broken as well but lets stick with sythe rules for now.

 

so let me get this straight:

Apparently you have damning evidence to put everything in this thread "all to rest"

1. You won't present this evidence to the public. (that's understandble)

2. You won't present this evidence in the staff lounge (again, that's understandable)

3. You won't present this evidence to another admin (e.g - Roary), your superior (that's bullshit)

4. You won't present this evidence to the owner of the site, Richard. (now you are just trolling and making up bullshit claims)

I find it a little disturbing that an off topic mod has more knowledge in the matter than the site's most active administrator. I don't understand why all of you - the staff - can't get on the same page. Seems like that alone would make things a hell of a lot easier.

Malice attempts? If you are insinuating ban evading, he has not. If you are insinuating some sort of attempt to infiltrate the site, you are probably thinking of ooga, not Hattez. The only law you could possibly hold against Hattez is possession of weed.

That's just the thing - no one has done any of the "explaining our-self". If someone did, then people would stop bothering about it.

He doesn't. He just keeps repeating the same things like a broken record because it's what he was told.

 

I don't think that's fair. He has a strong opinion of his own. There is just a disconnect between what we care about and what he cares about.

 

He may have a strong opinion about it, but he wasn't there and all of his information comes from the staff member directly involved in this (it has to since no other staff member has information on it apparently).

 

And he is more trusting of them. That is perfectly understandable.
