I mean, to be quite honest you haven't done a single thing that an admin should be doing within at least 4 to 5 years, and don't even try to say that you do things behind the scenes because we know that is a complete lie. @FireZ

I do believe the effect of being in a position of power for too long desensitizes one to the struggles of the common user. The will of good men cannot withstand the perpetual barrage of seeping corruption without the eventual crack in the metaphorical brass that encapsulates the moral compass. Let me ask you this, when he brandishes executive power to decide who should or should not be allowed to participate here, without audit by superiors stemming from tenurial arrogance, where does that leave the principles of basic justice? Our rules are not enforced objectively, but often subjectively from one acute angle, i.e. his. Are we being properly served by our administration?

Did you resign from being a mod?

Well said LTDG and I wholeheartedly agree. To add to that, I believe (to a degree) that absolute power and delusional incompetence seem to run together hand-in-hand. Someone who has been in a position of absolute authority for too long lives in a bubble of unreality, generated by both the fear and ambition of those around them. Criticism and bad news are banished for fear of their reaction. However, good news and false good news are overemphasized to put him in a generous mood. Take a look at past and current moderator feedback threads for example.

Certain "leaders" develop a tendency towards paranoia, not least because the one thing that they can be sure of is that many of their subordinates would very much like to step into their shiny parade boots. And like spoiled children, people who thrive on being in a position of absolute authority for too long often make the situation worse through their immature self-indulgence.

Most, if not all, leaders in history have done a barely adequate job and often left their nations worse off than when they started, and Sythe is no different by any means.
