Republicans win Virginia and New Jersey

The Republicans have won the states of New Jersey and Virginia. Both of those states voted Democrate, now they have chose Republican to be Governers. New Jersey has mostly been in the Democratic side, but since the increase in taxes, they can't take it anymore. They voted for Republican Chris Christie. This has been a big comeback for the Republicans, but there seems to be a split between the Conservatives and the Moderate Republicans.

Republican Dierdre Scozzafava abruptly quit the race over the weekend and backed Owens after Hoffman's supporters accused her of being too liberal for the largely Republican district because of her support of abortion rights and same-sex marriage.

You're not exemplifying any sort of a discussion point; your post seems more like a current event article. My advice would be to form some sort of question, i.e What do these results mean for Obama? Is he losing his connection to the American People? etc.

or Arnold in California. or whatever really.

Governors are a poor indicator of party affiliation.

I'm sayin'. I live in VA, and a lot of my friends are throwing a giant bitch fit. I don't see why it matters anymore, our country/states are fucked anyways.

Just because the governor is Republican that doesn't mean the entire state is. Look at California for example, Arnold is a Republican but the state is largely democrat.

Congress usually loses a couple incumbent party seats after an election, no big deal...
