Reporting? Why do I have this

So earlier today I caught some kid trying to make a fake account to probably scam someone, he was ban evading.

He ended up reporting me because my IP showed someone who got banned with a different username has something to do with my IP

This was the tread he made, so my question is why is this "mynameisbob" even on my IP? I log onto my phone a lot through sythe, was it because someone at a public IP was also a sythe member?

 

It was likely someone in your area on that public mobile IP, as you suggested. Look through any of the mods IPs, they're often on Sythe via their mobile phone. Some are linked to random accounts that they have no association with. It's not definitive in any manner.

 

i've never sythed on mobile and still match like a bajillion random accounts. we can tell whether it's a normal ip you're logging in from or a spurious match, like it is in this case. no need to worry!
