Recruit a friend. free membs

is anyone planning on becoming a member for the first time? not sure if it works on new accounts with old cc cards, but if you are can i please "recruit you" before u get membs? that way I can get 30 free membership.

Edit: note-worthy benefits o this are I get 20% bonus xp when playing on the same world and near you, and/or 10% xp for all the xp you earn while playing. However, I'm not sure if this applies to the Recruited, I'm going to submit a query to jagex about it.

 

Seeing as I am a member already, this doesn't bother me. However, I believe that you can if you've not been a member before, and then you can claim the bonus XP.

What would be the point of attracting a new player to buy membership if you give one month's membership free as soon as they do? Surely that gets you back to square one..

 

They don't lose money giving out a free 30 day membership, though.

 

They make more money though
