OT: It's OK I guess, but whats the purpose? Are you just trying to understand the mechanics of running a website?

Shit, I'm not website expert or anything, however; I'm not tripping about the layout, I actually read some of the shit you have posted on there. I think it's great man. You've got some talent, keep pursuing that.
All the people above are harsh, I couldn't pull a website like that off. GL bro.

Mind you, I have adblock on, so I can't see 2/3rds of your site.

Things that are wrong with it:

    1. Domain name is irrelevant. When making a blog, your domain name is EVERYTHING. E: Hell, with any site your domain name is EVERYTHING.

    2. Your page title is even more irrelevant. I understand it correlates with your domain, but since that is irrelevant, it too is irrelevant. When people search on Google (where most of your traffic will originate) all they will see is the word 'Fly' and random content below that. There's nothing descriptive about it... so try again.

    3. Your content seems fake. Your top post is about the t-mobile... which anyone who has had internet for a week will see that instantly as spam. It doesn't matter how good your content may be, you will lose browsers from that alone.

    4. The posts on the right don't catch my attention. I feel like I just looked at a tabloid with a bunch of random information about people I don't give a shit about. While I'm sure this may interest some people, from what I'm seeing, it all looks like a thin affiliate to me.

    5. Your design is interesting, but lacking. It doesn't go with your content, it seems bland and just has no real eye-grabbing points. It's also far too bright. If your design doesn't keep them on the page, your content will have no importance.

    6. People love in your face blogs that say funny shit. If you wanna keep readers, you need original, unique, fresh, and brilliant content. You can improve your design, you can improve your seo, you can improve everything... but if your content sucks... you'll be a one-click wonder.

    7. I can't see if you have ads, but on a starting site... you should never have ads.

I will give you a fair rating of 3/10. The positives are that your site loads, doesn't lag, has a straight-forward setup, and a fair amount of content.

Quality comes over time. I've been working on the same website project for like... 4 months now. Most of which has been altering the design and tweeking it for what I will need to add. I have 10 pages of external documentation on how the site will run, what I have to add, content, and all that crap.

So don't try to rush it out, just focus on doing what you enjoy, and don't get burnt out so quickly.

    Might I recommend:

    http://w3schools.com
    http://tizag.com

    It's where I started.

Also, if you end up needing assistance, check out http://codingforums.com. There's plenty of helpful peeps there that will do their best to solve your problems, or at least point you in the right direction.

Depends on your definition of hard. It was most certainly new, and it took me around 7 months to be a functional coder, and I'm still learning every time I open up a project...

But that's the internet for you. Basically, no, it's not difficult to understand. Google 'Free CSS themes' if you're learning html/css, download one of those, and try to read it. Change things, see what happens, change it back, add your stuff, take away stuff, etc.

It will help you identify and understand your basic template files.

For more complex coding, it does get more difficult... but if your passion and dedication is equal to the task... you'll be able to come out on the other side over time.

The first site I ever made: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://chrysys.net

I'd like to think I've come quite a ways ^.^.
