Sorry nobody has chimed in yet, I've been out of the space for a bit of time, but I'll do my best to help you out.

This probably isn't what you want to hear but I feel like it is the best answer you can get. It depends.

If you can add value or differentiate yourself through whatever business you choose to engage in through offering a website, then it is probably worth it.

If your website isn't going to really accomplish anything for you, which could mean anything from but not limited to: differentiating from the competitors, processing payments, lowering fraud, establishing stronger connection with customers, driving traffic... then I would forget the idea.

To deal with this I personally didn't use it, which once again, is probably not a good answer here. Not accepting PayPal will probably be detrimental to your business, especially as a new user - that being said, if you can't in good conscience accept the payments without constant concerns over chargebacks, you probably shouldn't be doing so.

I would advocate purchasing through a wallet directly. You could purchase from members directly but I'm a bit skeptical of the margins here so make sure to do your research. Secondly, I see how buying from trusted members could improve your reputation in the sense of your overall vouch count, but I'm not convinced that anyone outside of randoms would really consider these vouches to be meaningful at all.

Be aware of the time you are putting in and the benefits you are getting out. Obviously, your business probably won't explode overnight - but you should set goals for yourself, even vague ones and hold yourself/your business accountable to them. If you're putting tons of time into something and seeing no improvement, you need to have the sense of self-awareness to be able to recognize it and make a follow up decision.

This really depends on the nature of the business you want to get into. Personally, I started by offering cheap services just to get some baseline feedback (and because it really doesn't take much investment, I didn't even buy graphics for a thread layout or anything), and then expanding into other, relatively related businesses as time went on and connections were made.

    ---

Hope everything I said was helpful to some extent.

Yes, I have made websites for many businesses and even websites without ads running have helped every industry generate more sales.

You can have customers send as friend/family and offer good quality of services. Build up to larger orders over time so one chargeback will not effect funds to much.

I think that every option should be utilized. I get some from Coinbase for the convenience but they also will collect your financial data to the government. I recommend finding users you can buy BTC from to further encourage privacy and decentralized trade.

Look for Discords that you can pay for a sponsored channel in, this will give you many more members from other servers.

You could start without any funds. For a website you could find hosting for around $5 a month and a domain for $10 a year.

You can add me on Discord if you want to discuss more:

Super late to this, but I wasted lots of time and money and have had many failures in some of the areas you ask about.

It may also be interesting (or not) to hear from somebody who was very active a couple of years ago, and is no longer an active gold flipper. I have some private deals behind the scenes with a European site and some deals with the Chinese, but not my own brand.

1st) is it worth it nowadays to make a website when discord servers are very cheap way to sell things

It's not worth making a site until you're making money. I've had several sites and most of them failed because I rushed into making them. I simply didn't have anything else to offer than my competitors.

I have actually been more successful working behind the scenes with sites. I won't go into details on this though as it's my current thing.
    -----------

2nd) how do you minimize charge backs selling on PayPal

Accepting Paypal scares lots of people, it worried me a lot too in the past. These days there are several payment plugins to prevent fraud. I won't list all of these though because the golden days of selling virtual currencies through Paypal are over. Now that mastercard don't allow it, and several payment processors such as G2A don't accept it due to fraud etc, you can risk having your Paypal account banned. Most people still accepting Paypal are using loopholes or taking the risk. I'm referring to the big boys, and not just your average guy selling 50m every few months. That is unlikely to get flagged.

    ----------------------
3rd) is it worth buying btc from a trusted member or directly form a wallet like coin base

No idea to be honest. I've always bought from friends in the market or just used what I've received as a payment for some kind of sale/service/commission/etc.

    -------------------------

4th) is there anything I should know before I start trying to increase my productivity on sythe

Not really sure what you mean here. I would say put in effort. I went inactive over the years, and some users I remember having no vouches when I left are now high donor ranks and have thousands of vouches. Time passes. Things change. There will always be someone that can or will put in more time than you.

    -----------------------

5th) about how much would I need to save before I think about starting

I've seen some people throw numbers. I don't know if these are weird flexes. This totally depends on your goals and expectations. It also depends on what kind of product/service you plan on offering. Do you want to do it part time? Full time? etc.

    --------------------

Just to leave you with some thoughts.

Take some time to really think about what you want, and why you want to get in to this market. Is it something you really want to do and are passionate about? Is it something you just want to do on the side, etc?

I'll be totally honest about my experience, but at the same time I don't want it to influence yours or come across as negative. It's just my story.

I started working for some gold sites as a live chat agent while I was at University. I was already an active real world trader before this but very small time. I was shocked and excited by how many sales the sites I worked for. I thought it was amazing, and it really showed me how much gold gets moved.

I worked for the sites. I covered the shifts of lazy agents and ended up being hired full time after one got fired. I did extra hours. Then I started building my own on the side. I put in 16 hours a day for the first 6 months and made good money.

All agents got fired from the sites we delivered for as some of the sites pulled out of the live chat service deal, and one of the site owners replaced us with workers from a developing country.

I continued to do my own thing for about 2 years after that. I had phases up putting in crazy hours, and although I did hire some assistants and agents for a while, I was still having to babysit my laptop, or have my phone on me to solve any problems.

Despite making good money, it wasn't for me in the end, and I got out.

I had great experiences, and i learned A LOT. I learned so much that I have been able to carry over to other areas of my life, not just business.

I now live and work in China. I have a regular job. It is very enjoyable, a good package, and good hours. I also have my deals on the side. Before COVID I was able to travel a lot and make unforgettable memories, experience much of what all my friends home may never experience.

Sorry for the essay. I not only want to share this with you, but also anybody else who may stumble across this now, next week, in several years from now. I feel like many people who I have seen come and then leave this market have not shared their experience. I have several friends who were once here, but now have left, who didn't share any of their opinions or advice.
