I have an IBP-Z001 liquid cooling system in my computer and was wondering if I could replace the standard black tubes for transparent ones. I was also wondering if I could replace the regular fluid they have inside the system with Anti-freeze. My friend recently made a "green" computer for an independent study project at our school, and he put Anti-freeze inside the liquid cooling. I thought it looked sick and wondered if it would ruin or damage my cooling system if I used Anti-freeze as well.
Thanks for answering XD
Pictures of the System:
The 1/2" ID Norprene tubing is black and opaque - you can't see the fluid flowing through. Norprene is an engineered plastic that feels a bit like rubber or neoprene. It has an operating temperature range from -51C to 135C and is UV light resistant (unlike neoprene which will eventually crack in UV-saturated environments). The tubing is connected to the metal barbs of the heat exchanger and the glass fibre reinforced plastic body of the waterblock with permanent stainless steel metal crimp clamps.
