    Question for Atheists

    How do you know that?

What would be the point in that?

    Question for Atheists

    Ok, think of this then:

People believe that god is everywhere, right? Well, Jesus said "love your neighbour as you love yourself" and "love god with all your heart", and as god is everywhere, he lives everywhere, so technically he lives next door to you. Theoretically, he is your neighbour.

So, we worship our neighbour, but not ourselves, so we dont "love(/respect)" him like ourselves, and im sure no one loves their neighbour with all their hearts, so basically Jesus is sort of saying one thing, then saying something that makes the other overides its meaning.

Also, if people followed what Jesus said, they would worship their neighbour, themselves, and everything else, thus "defying" the power of god, as he is "the same" as everyone else.

Also, people belive that god is "good", but God can only be God if he can and does both good and bad, and so people are worshipping only one side of God, if he does exist.

    Jesus's entire message is flawed.

    Question for Atheists

Your jumping from A to B and ignoring A on B.

So instead of your opinion being A+B, it is A+(-a)+b

    Question for Atheists

According to christianity and the bible even says in it...

People did write the bible and they got it just right. {How did they get it right, they must have flaws...?} Well God is made up of the trinity. the father, son and holy spirit. His spirit filled the people and they wrote exactally how he would want them to.

    Question for Atheists

What empirical evidence do you have to show that they were possessed by a spirit that is simultaneously God, and part of God?

    Question for Atheists

explain people speaking in toungs (different languages) at churches (when they clearly dont know the language) and then someone translating it.

I have been to a church were my freind spoke in a different language then someone else translated it. He had no clue what he said. All he remembered was something inside of him urging him to speek and it was like it pained him not to speak (not physical pain). someone later came and spoke to him and said the he spoke hebrew.

explain that... and tell me that was not the spirit of God.

    Question for Atheists

Explain how you only see people speaking in tongues in churches where it is common. Speaking in tongues just comes from the peer pressure and tradition of the church. Also, your friend's situation wasn't speaking in tongues at all, as it is supposed to be a language unknown to man that is spoken and translated. You can't really argue for the spirit of God by using an example of a phenomenon that over half of Christians believe is a hoax. I was from a Southern Baptist church, and if you spoke in tongues during the service, you probably would have been kicked out.

    Question for Atheists

It's mass hysteria/peer pressure. Why does it never occur in a testable, reproducible scenario?

I'm talking about empirical evidence here, not vague first-hand accounts of alleged "speaking in tongues".

    Question for Atheists

I doubt that your friend was really speaking Hebrew. I think that you are either exaggerating/lying. Besides, personal, first-hand experiences, related through a medium, hardly count as empirical evidence.

Do you realize how difficult it is to know over 12 languages fluently?

    Question for Atheists

    1. How can I give you evidence lol?

2.I personally know 3 languages. English, spanash, and french. I can easily tell if your faking. 1st buy your accent and 2nd by the way you say the words. like in spanash pelota meens ball. If they say nooooo ribnea means ball i can tell they are lying or just being stupid.

There is no evidence. Your attempt to win this argument centers on dubious firsthand experiences.

Personally, I don't think that, knowing a word or two of Hebrew (if this did indeed happen), you would be unable to fake it. And, what, you just happened to know somebody able to translate? And after the event, too?

Meh, still not a reliable source.

For a good few hours more than is healthy per day, yes.

Yes. If somebody disagrees with me three times in a row, I ban them.

Just kidding, I don't abuse my powers.

That was the abortion thread, I think? It is viewable to moderators who are able to approve it. I didn't approve it because there is already an abortion thread somewhere in this forum. I'll bump it up for you.

She is not just somebody in the audience. She is one of my moms freinds and she comes over to our house once and awhile.
