    Protein shakes

I was wondering if I should drink my protein shakes on my off days, when I haven't done a workout. E.g. Workout, off day, workout, off dat etc. Should I drink on my off day's? Also should the protein shake replace a meal since I want to bulk up or should I eat a meal after the protein shake. Suggested food to eat in the morning and at lunch since I'm usually to lazy to make myself breakfast and lunch.

You're only supposed to drink protein shakes after you workout. I don't really think it would do much on an "off" day.

If you're bulking, never replace a meal. You should drink your protein shake after your workout with some natural protein and fat.
I.e. Drink a protein shake with whole milk and a tuna sandwich or chicken sandwich.
Ideally you want to eat a lot of protein after your workout to help grow more muscle.

This. Really, don't replace a meal - you need the carbs. Protein shakes taste awesome anyways, think of it like a reward after a hard workout, that's what I do.

The way protein works is it rebuilds your muscles after you workout. When you have "off" days, that's when you're giving your muscles a chance to rebuild instead of just tearing them up by working out every day. I've always been told to drink protein shakes on my off days. In fact, I've always been told that it's important to drink them on off days because that's when your muscles are actually rebuilding themselves.

If your really serious about bulking up take the shakes on of days (morning and night is the best.) Don't replace a meal every if your trying to bulk up.. if anything eat EXTRA.
