Prom help

So I have a Prom day in a few months, 2-3 months to be counting and I need a date. I am not sure how to ask this one girl I been crushing for, its like she is stuck in my mind. I'm down to ask her anytime, but having no idea how I should ask her. She does have her own hangout spot near where I am hanging out at
( awkward? yeah) but I can't just go up to her since I'm afraid to go up to her friends and mostly badly influenced people. I do see her during passing period. There are two problems that holds me back from wanting to go to the prom. She's a underclassmen, since shes a 11th grader, and I'm a senior. She might as well go to her own junior prom and it might be awkward for her to go to a senior prom too. And the other problem is that after finding out that she will want to go to the senior prom with me, I don't have a specific group of friends to go with??

I'd say make friends with her, try not to get into the "friend" zone...If you're in the friend zone it could be awkward for her, leading to a rejection. But think positive. You've got 2-3 months to do this, more than enough time!
