Principle Outstanding Questions Concerning Leanbean901

I first posed this question:

If it was anybody else, how would it be handled? I strongly feel the user would be held responsible for at least half the damages

Now I ask you:

If the amount was only 50$, would Lean be held accountable? I strongly feel he would be. Because the money is a lot more, they're letting him go because they know he doesn't have the funds to do it

So let me guess this straight -

If I do a trade with someone, and I either use a VPN to login to Skype or get a friend to do it. Then, if the person I'm trading with doesn't request a PM, then I can just scam them and get off scot free with "My Skype got hacked, not my problem".

I can just get away with this with no action from the staff at all, is that right?

 

You also have to say that you can't log into your Skype's email because you forgot the info.

Looks like Leanbean and whatever admin dealt with this, I'm assuming Roary, handled this very poorly. He should have been banned per the rules of the site (that's why we have them, right?) It also looks like not being proactive caused the massive scam to occur, a refund wouldn't be out of the question.

Bottom line: Staff need to be held to the same standards as the average user. No special treatment. Things like this set precedent for future occasions and will cause even more conflict.

I find it funny because leanbean is closing threads left and right yet he is the person being accused... Why is the accused on the JURY? In what system is that accepted?

 

This, when will the current staff on Sythe take responsibilities and just admit to fault?

There is a reason why so many people are upset with what's happening and the responses/decisions. We're not just upset individuals who have nothing better to do. (Well some are sadly)

The main issue is there is no evidence that a hack ever occured. So staff is letting Leanbean901 off on simply his word alone. Evidence has been provided that
A. Leanbean901 Confirmed the skype account was his.
B. Leanbean901 has multiple paypals
C. Leanbean901 paypal limit was reset on the day of the scam. Exactly 1 month after he had redeemed for me last.
D. Leanbean901's supposed hacker had knowledge of me an Leanbean901's previous trades which is impossible unless he was Leanbean901.
E. Leanbean901 was online while the hack was going on.-- He was on sythe but not on his skype?
But because Leanbean901 says "Nope wasn't me I was hacked. I was online at the time I was hacked but knew nothing of it and I didn't request a ban until after the hack and scam but I swear it wasn't me." he gets off scotch free.

This random hacker also knew what limit I was referring to, and knows about the moneypak redemption game? The hacker had a SSN verified paypal AT THE READY? Man this hacker sure had his game down... my question: why go for small shrimp like leanbean901?

I agree that the circumstances that happened are not in favor of Iago, but if he had any common sense when trading this whole thing would not have been an issue.






Roary, FireZ and most of the upper staff have already said/ruled on this issue. If you don't like it? PM Richard, don't make multiple scam reports just because you don't like the moderator decisions. And make threads under sythe.org support. like what?

Thank you for addressing the village idiot on my behalf. As far as I am concerned only two examples are needed for the "left, and right" criteria to be satisfied.

 

I closed two threads. One after all the issues and concerns had already been addressed both by myself and others multiple times in previous threads. I closed the second one after the thread had went far beyond accusing of scamming without proof and speculations. I also reopened your scam report on me that was closed by another staff member. Don't be so quick to throw stones. I do not deserve this treatment you people are giving me.

 

This is sound logic, especially since there has to the point this thread was made:

-2 scam reports
-2 disscusion threads in different forums.

Would you rather have a different thread about the same exact thing in each different forum?

With that being said, Its common sense that this whole situation happened from one point, when Iago failed to request a pm for the trade at hand. It's not fair for Lean as a human being to have to deal with the community's speculation and hatred.

With your explanation on closing the threads, I can understand why and what your rationale was on the decisions.

However, when you talk about not deserving the current mess you're going through, I would like to reiterate that we are only pissed because you are taking 0 responsibilities for this incident.

You are not doing anything to resolve this issue or come to a compromise. You don't seem to even show effort or think that you're wrong in any way.

I feel like Honest Iago isn't even making all these threads to get back his money. That's not his top priority now. He wants to expose the bullshit that we are all seeing recently.

He's making all these threads to show Sythe what is wrong with the mods and staff now and how they're making decisions with scam reports that mods are involved with.

Edit: Sorry for double posting below. But I just wanna add, I know that $2000+ is a big amount leanbean901, but you still have to show some responsibility in this case. No one wants to pay back $2000+ and right now, I don't think anyone is asking for that. But show that you actually realize that you have faults in this as well won't you? The least that should happen to you is still a ban.

Don't act like you did nothing wrong/have no faults/made wrong decisions such as registering skype with a fake/unknown email, being online on the same moment the scam happened etc. FFS

 

So tell us all and answer the question that you did not answer. You feel that leanbean901 has no responsibilities/faults in this case when he clearly has as all these were exposed by others in various threads?
