-Predict the price of bitcoin for December 31, 00.00 AM GMT
-In USD on Bitfinex exchange
-The closest prediction wins 100$ or 100m 07.
-Only predictions in January will count ( it is not fair if one person predicts in January and another in June)

If you can, explain why you think it will be 'x' price.

PS. My prediction is $48800, based on what? I believe there is still room left to grow for this crypto market and I think Bitcoin is not done yet.
And I think/hope that an implementation of the lighting network will happen in 2018 which will help solving the btc scalability problem.

 

Going to go ahead and say 60K USD. I don't think lightning will solve the issues the way people think - you'll still have to pay a ridiculous fee to get funds loaded onto the lightning network afaik, so it'll still only be catered towards wealthier people. Basing the prediction on hedge funds / rich people wanting to get 5-10% of their wealth into bitcoin to hedge against inflationary fiat and debt/credit/real estate bubbles.
