Pop-Punk/Post-Hardcore

[ChaotiiiKid]

I see too much Rap & Hip-Hop in the music section. This thread is for Pop-Punk and Post-Hardcore.

Anyone else favor this type of music? Favorite bands? Thoughts?

All discussion, thoughts, and criticisms are welcome.

Examples:
I See Stars
Sleeping with Sirens
Alive in Standby
Buried in Verona
Of Mice & Men
The Devil Wears Prada
Oh, Sleeper
The Fall of Troy
The Wonder Years
August Burns Red
Texas in July

[Tera Melos]

august burns red is NOT post hardcore. They are pure metalcore. The Fall of Troy was one of my favorite bands of all time. They introduced me to so much good music.
As for pop punk, I'm really digging Title Fight. I love the hardcore passion/feel they have to their music.

Nothing can compare to hardcore. I'm not as big into post-hardcore though, unless its Scary Kids Scaring Kids or Alexisonfire. My favorite hardcore bands are:

Have Heart
Trapped Under Ice
StayGold
Guns Up!
Verse
Defeater
The Effort
Counterparts
Miles Away
Break Even
Backtrack

Sadly many of those bands aren't together anymore

Really loving some of those hardcore bands you have up there. Did you hear Verse is getting back together? I'm super stoked for their new album.

Brighten

Defeater is fucking amazing! There are ALOT of post hardcore local bands around where I live (brisbane, Australia) and the scene is very big here! Notable bands I like -

Defeater
Break Even
Touche Amore
E N D W O R L D
Signals
The Ghost Inside
Never Lose Sight
Draw your Lines
Centurion

See You Next Tuesday is grindcore, and I wouldn't say Texas in July is post-hardcore. The Wonder Years is the best Pop/Punk band since ADTR.

They played in Jersey along with As I Lay Dying and a couple of other bands. It was a pretty nice show.
