Just a reminder, George W. Bush was a Republican.

Bad example for a bad republican, would you vote Obama over Ron Paul? Why not use some reasonable examples, we just need the right Republicans to run for president, or the right democrats to run for president.

    Republican.
I'm rather Conservative and don't believe the Government should be involved in everything, nor do I believe nearly half of someone's income should be going to taxes. ._.

Live in New Zealand, so none. Political parties here are basically the same thing with different leaders and brand names, such a bore.

If I was in America, more than likely I would side with the Republican.

I'll vote Democrat nine times out of ten. All current Republican's seem to share the idea that the poor and middle class need to become poorer and the rich should get richer.

You cannot criticize Bush as being a "bad example" of "a bad republican". The Republican Party chose him as their canidate through primary elections two elections in a row. Therefore, he is a core member of the party and demonstrator of his values, no matter how bad he was.

I love Ron Paul's dedication for small government. He consistently remains a constitutionalist and votes against/for bills because of what he thinks is correct, not because he is pressured by corporations to do so.

However, Ron Paul would be a terrible president. He would turn out into one of two things.
    1. After being elected, Ron Paul tries to minimize government but does not pursue the more radical ideas of his, such as dissolving the fed and removing all US troops that are based outside the US. In this case, Ron Paul becomes a mediocre president who institutes minimal change and is not experienced enough to deal with foreign policy or domestic economy disasters.

    2. After being elected, Ron Paul does his best to minimize government. Within days of being nominated, Ron Paul attempts to dissolve the Federal Reserve and withdraw from the United Nations. As doing so would cause the failures of both the nations economy and its international diplomatic dominance, the Senate and the House immediately impeach and censure Ron Paul. The appropriate hearings are held and Ron Paul is removed before he damages the country's economy.

Please consider all of Ron Paul's most radical policies before you decide whether he would be a good president.

when George Washington left office, he specifically warned Jefferson, Adams and etc to avoid partys at all costs.

And i believe he is right, thus i would say to hell with political partys. All it costs is more conflict and having the big boys in the white house play with our future.

I'm an independent so I voted other. Political parties destroy participation as well as democracy in general. I lean heavily towards the Democrat side of debates and Republicans piss the fuck out of me since pretty much all of them seem like total dumb asses who ignore facts. One example that was good enough to make my Facebook status.
