Plagiarism - Limiq

I wrote the privacy policy on Alch.com. Limiq's site BoostedMMO | Your Only One Stop Shop For All Your Runescape Needs copied it word for word.

Normally I would contact the business owner to attempt to resolve an issue, but this is the second time we've had unnecessary problems. The first was someone from Limiq's team securing Alchgp.com and Alchgold.com as soon as we launched.

Hi Alch,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention; my developer has already rectified the issue.

This was never intended to cause any harm or ill-will or damage to you or your business; simply as a placeholder template months ago when we were developing our website. We never really made the move to using our website for conducting our business as 99.9% of our transactions were done via Discord. Recently, our entire Discord was removed due to a bogus claim made by Jagex.

This fueled a rush to migrate our systems to the website and it is still not yet done; as can be observed because we don't have many products up at all, and other pages listing template/placeholder items as well.

We apologize for this and understand the gravity of the situation. We have taken the time to learn to correct this issue. An example of this, and for anyone else is using: Writing a GDPR-compliant privacy notice (template included) - GDPR.eu as their privacy policy if they need one, for a template or otherwise!

 

I just wanted to add on, it saddens me that you feel that you could not have come to me directly; seeing as the last time something minor happened, it was resolved within an hour. I was not made aware until hours later for this incident which would have, again been solved in minutes.

 

The last "minor" issue resulted in another user being banned for the same actions. Tokenbets and Dragondyce fake urls were pointed at Magebets. This Alchgp/Alchgold.com issue was only resolved after I pointed out it could be a bannable offence redirecting alch related traffic to your site.

Our last incident felt a lot like an extortion attempt.

The reported "problem" was solved.

Take a look at what you are saying, by circular and similar reasoning:

The last time an employee was hired by alch.com and it was found they were doing blackhat activity, they were banned. Ihatequesting - ban evasion

Why are you wasting everyone's time here?

At BoostedMMO we are strictly 100% against any Blackhat activity. We are an organization found on merits and hardwork, not skullduggery and deception, which is why we have stellar reviews from our customer base.

The situation you bring up is going into matters which are not concerned with the facts, contain mis-statements, falsehoods, and lie on the cusp of downright libel; they are outside the issues of the original premise of this "violation". which was resolved.

If you feel that you have been wronged 14+ months ago, let us both hash it out in a new report; or you can DM me which would, as always, be much faster. For now, the matters presented in your post were resolved.

 

You mentioned being sad about us not approaching you directly. I explained why that courtesy didn’t seem fitting given past experience. Mods are free to choose if the standard plagiarism punishment is applicable here or not.
