Pjers annoy me

Pjers really annoy me. Who's with me? I just got my first ever pvp loot, and bam dead. 1.2m =/. Was 97% ep. (Thanks to lefty for the trick). Now its 22.

Anyways, what do you personally think Jagex could do to stop pjing? Should they implement it? What are your thoughts on pjing?

 

I mean wilderness is supposed to be dangerous, and they don't mind multiple people fighting the same person, hence multi areas. Tbh they put dueling in the game for a reason, if you and one other person want to fight to the death, feel free to go to the duel arena and set up everything exactly how you want it, if you want prayers/food/pots/certain attack styles, ect......you can have the fight exactly how you prefer with no risk of pjers.

Otherwise, wilderness is dangerous, nobody wants you alive, they don't care who you just killed or what loot you just got, they want you dead and you have to survive. I like this style, its like a rush when you get a good loot but you know its not over yet. What if once someone robbed a bank, the cops were just like, damned, he got the money in the bags, shit. And the robbers went off to Cancun with your grandmas vacation money? Everyone wants a shot at everyone else, so bring some phoenix necklaces and rocktails, turn on that pray melee, and have your teleport ready, and don't get too greeedy, getting some loot is better than dying with it all.

Pjing is as much of part as pking as it was back in the wilderness days just have to be prepared for the worst.

 

Just hope your Pking around nice people and will help you if someone Pjs.
Or when the wildy comes out hop worlds and find a private area.

 

I know the wildy is supposed to be dangerous. It was at clan wars in a pvp world, i got the loot and ran inside clan wars (safe area) and then got owned by 5 arrows since the timer wasn't done. W/e though, I don't mind the loss of cash at all, just the ep loss. It can all be gained back, so its not a big problem.

@shey-when you put it that way it makes sense. I wasn't as alert as I should have been, it happened too fast.

 

ehhh, guess it reverts back to the old saying, "cant win em all". Me and my ags twin got each other as targs once, so we decided to kick fight and let chance decide who was going to get the loot since we had the same stats and knew each others fighting style. I won, barely and had like 90 hp left. Got seren, was pretty happy, picked it up and bam some dude next to me just smacks me with a d scimi, lost the whole loot, LOL. Just gotta think sometimes I guess, and always bring a quick tele, the one inventory slot is worth it.

 

heh you're clearly new to the game, pjing used to be much much worse.

@owain- actually I'm not. I have the holiday items to prove I'm from 2005. Well, thats too old but I'm definitely not new to the game.

 

Really not much that can be done about them, they're annoying but you just have to deal with it. Only way that Jagex could prevent it would be by putting a attack delay of some kind when you're still fighting someone, but that would require reworking a big part of the combat system so I doubt it would happen.

 

not to mention it would become extremely annoying, I cant tell you how many times people have clans sit in single near edgeville/varrock bridge in the single attack area, just popping out and tagging people and when you try to get them there is some attack delay because they didn't hit you they hit your friend. The last thing we need is more safeguards in wilderness that can be abused and just get in the way. It's dangerous, if you don't like it, duel someone like I suggested earlier, safest way to fight someone with no interuptions, besides that, as alot have already said, go in prepared and try not to risk alot if you aren't prepared to lose it.

It's like a casino, don't go into wilderness with plans to make money, go in expecting to lose every dime you have on you (even your "protected" item, there are ways to get around that prayer), that way if that does happen you can't be mad, and if you do come back with all your stuff and some other peoples stuff as well, pat yourself on the back and be happy.

 

They said pjers are gonna be like old wildy so get ready to be dclawed when ur both eatin

 

aint there like a 10sec delay after you kill/fight someone? i remember when claws came into the game and people would get pjed mid fight with them.

 

I've helped my twin by PJ'ing his target plenty of times, lol. As of the current system, if both players eat twice, as in both don't attack each other because they are both "safing up" after some big hits, a pj is 99% going to be possible. When I get ready to claw out his targ, I just sit next to them, not spam clicking the guy or anything, just hovering over his name and waiting. As soon as they both hit each other hard and both get low food, or at least his opponent does he eats twice on purpose so that I can get into the fight, works every time. =)
