User made friends with a Sythe user in order to expose his money making bots to a Youtuber.
Really cringe, how can a staff member expose a Sythe member publicly and leak private information and get away with it?
Wowzer.
@Sythe If this is true, then action needs to be taken. A high level of integrity must be maintained, especially considering the nature of goods and services offered on this website – discretion is key. I’m confident that most marketeers understand the importance of it, and it goes without saying, that jeopardising a competitors, or anyone’s business, will only result in a domino effect, leaving many, if not the majority of businesses in hot-water; whether that be due to their used-tactics/accounts/suppliers/etc being exposed, and or any other facilitating factor that enables Jagex/YouTubers/other parties to take action against said businesses.
On another note, I find
@Pikachu to be quite dismissive, alongside unwilling to accept feedback, both constructive and negative. I would summarise his behaviour, and the way he interacts with users as being extremely conceited. You have members of staff such as
@video and
@Pendulum, who are light years more experienced than
@Pikachu, yet are still approachable, and humble and understand how to navigate the varied audiences that this website draws in -
@Pikachu needs to understand the notion that you need to address and deal with different users differently.
Lastly, to support my above claim, I asked
@Pikachu (evidence of said queries can be found within this thread itself) to clarify some of the current Sythe.org rules, alongside asking for further clarification of what would happen in different scenarios. He initially responded with what he thought was the answer – which is fine. I then informed him he was misunderstanding the question (numerous times mind you, after he kept insisting I did not understand the rules/my own question), and politely asked him to revisit what I asked (
@Superfluous also requested the same from
@Pikachu and was ignored), and address said question – he blatantly ignored this, and outright said in the Sythe.org Discord, that my question was ‘dumb’, so to him, justified being ignored. I then asked
@Pendulum to address my queries/questions, which he understood right of the bat, and we discussed at length what I initially asked
@Pikachu, amongst furthering the discussion, which sought the clarity I was after.
The issue here is that,
@Pikachu unequivocally thought he was right, and refused to accept that he may possibly be misunderstanding/wrong. There is absolutely no issue with not knowing something and asking other staff members/peers for help. I welcome it and personally encourage reaching out to your peers when in doubt. If he plainly said, ‘I’m not sure, let me ask someone’, then there would be no issue. Instead his arrogance and dismissive attitude made me not want to even further attempt a discussion, let alone engage him in the future if any help or guidance is needed.
