Yes, new hires receive two weeks annual leave (10 days) + national holidays of the country you are working in (11 for Shanghai & 14 Manila).

 

Is there a Chinese all you can eat buffet in the canteen for lunch time? If so I am interested. Do I need any qualifications?

Hey, I'm seriously interested in this opportunity.
I know you probably have hundred's of applicants, heck thousand's even,
but I'm serious about this I've wanted to live and work in Asia since I was 14. (18 now)
I love the Asian community and enjoy work in computer / retail fields.

- I have 4+ years customer service / retail experience
- Always dreamed for a job in an IT field
- I don't care if you have me filling concrete what an adventure.
- Asia... come on, it is the most exciting futuristic place on earth.

Although I doubt you would accept me I would have one thing holding me back;
The pay seems okay compared to living costs, but I would have to get my personal friend
to come and work with me as well. We share the same views and have the same amount
of experience in CS / Retail and would jump at the chance,
just because it be hard living in Shanghai / Philippines not knowing anyone
and to cut all bills in half would be excellent.

Everyone who has expressed an interest in working with us will be contacted in June or July.

We've just finished a two month hiring process for a new CS Manager at our Manila office. She's going to be great.

Right now, we're in the process of setting up training, and will fly her out to our head office for two week induction.

I'm heading back to the states for my best friend's wedding, and my sister is gonna have a baby, so two birds with one stone.

Also, quite a few applicants are "younger" i.e. 18-21. That being said, I am exploring the possibility of setting up an internship program where you guys can get introduced to the larger business and get real eCommerce/business experience to put on your resume. For those under the age of 25, it would be exceedingly difficult for us to get you a working permit for long term employment, but short term (i.e. 3 months) internship might be doable. I'll write a separate thread when I have a better idea about it.

I am just wondering if you read either of the two messages I sent to you in the past about doing research and an internship with Player Auctions. If you are not interested, that is perfectly okay, but a confirmation that you saw the messages would be great. Sources of funding for this summer are drying up fast and deadlines for aid are passing, so I am not sure I can afford an internship anymore. However, I am still very much interested in doing the research project I mentioned, and I hope that we can collaborate over email or some other way this summer.
