Yeah because scanning someones computer everytime a noob reports someone for not speaking is definitely not a breach of privacy.

I have heard of numerous stories where they weren't even botting and got a ban, so it is bs.

And I know they don't 'scan' someones computer, thats an invasion of privacy.

 

Mod got owned, and he did confirm these 14 day bans are staying for a while.

 

He's spreading bullshit. There isn't a way in hell for Jagex to scan your computer. Fools.

It may be possible to scan someones computer, but as far as i know its illegal. Scanning someone IP adress, is illegal. Because there folders may contain private things, if Jagex scans my computer, ill sue there ass and send them to prison. And, they probably deliberately drop the soap, agreed? Its FAGEX for a reason.

 

P mod means nothing imo. ( There are some exceptions still)

 

It actually might be true, Most poker sites do this to stop there users to cheat or use programms that are not allowed.

I don't see any truth in this, 'scanning your computer every time you get reported' swear that's illegal :s

 

He's talking about the Jagex Cache in your C:/... considering it's modified when you use bots (or, for RSbot it was) they can just check the cache you're using and they can find out.

.jagex_cache_32 or whatever.

The Pmod had it right on, just he misunderstood what really happens.

But, they shouldnt be able to access any folders, what if you put personal information in that specific folder, plus its a web browser based game, shouldnt need any folders.

 

Are you sure? It's not a simple web browser based game.

 

That is the biggest bs I've ever heard. Player mods don't know for sure, they're just "good" people picked by jagex in order to help them to control people in the game. They have no affiliation with jagex work related hence they wouldn't know how the system works.

Rofl, a Pmod is only playing ingame.
They really don't have anything to do with JaGeX's plans. Their just regular players with a crown that report botters and other rule breakers.

But if someone saw a Jagex Mod say this, it may come.

Maybe the Pmod just said it to try to scare some people, because he wouldn't know about this before it got released by Jagex themself, and posted about on the homepage.
