Overwatch Discussion

Seems to be a lot of positive feedback coming from you guys, is it worth picking up?

Coming from league I'm used to "maining" a select few champions however I heard it's pretty hard to main things and overwatch and that you should instead pick heroes/champions based on your team. How true is this?

I'm the kind of guy that likes to dedicate myself to one thing until I master it.

 

Genji is amazing. Definitely my favourite to play as.

idk but its not the type of game that fits in the call of duty section its more of a lol shooting game thats how i really see it imo as to liking it not really much its just like every other game they copy all dota / lol heroes abilites and all that ill give it 3/10

 

Definitely can't "main" a character. Well i guess you could but i wouldn't suggest it. Team comps are constantly changing to adjust to why your winning/losing. I noticed i won a lot more games when me and my team where changing strats and champ picks and as to somewhat evolve our approach to how the game was progressing. My one friend who wouldn't play anyone but junkrat found that the ends of his games where often more difficult to the start because of the enemy team adjusting to his pick.

really enjoyed this game. Fresh approach to the FPS genre. very unique. Would definitely suggest it to anyone it's really a good time. Especially with 5 other friends it was a blast.

 

Thanks for the input, I may have to try it! I used to love playing Halo 3 when I was growing up and I am fairly active in LoL, Overwatch seems to be a happy median between the two!

 

acc just got a refund for my preorder has alot of balance issues.

 

The game has balance issues? I think it's pretty balanced tbh

 

Lol, the game is definitely balanced well.

 

my favs where definately the hammer shield guy i think he could turn a game real easy. I always really enjoyed reaper

 

How is Tracer in any way shape or form balanced?

 

Game is pretty good. Better than what I expected.

Depends on what you match against.

 

She's squishy as hell and doesn't do much damage. She's only hard to deal with as Hanzo / Widowmaker and that's if you don't know what you're doing.

 

I had a ton of fun, definitely pre-ordering. (Physical Origin Edition is $48 on Amazon.)

Game seems balanced even though I hope they nerf Bastion's turret (make it a 180* pivot or something) before release.

Had the most fun with Mae and Winston

 

How do you think the professional scene will be like with overwatch?

 

I'm excited for the pro scene. I god damn SUCK at the game but seeing the way people use the champion pool/counter system will be a lot of fun.

 

Think it will become mainstream?
Or follow along the same path what some of Blizzard's other games have become?
- big at first and then die down

 

I hope it gets CS:GO big but it won't ever be LoL or even Dota big. Only time will tell!

Hmm I don't really know. I hope too, but there are similar games already in the scene so not sure if it will become as big.
