    Osama's death was not justified

No story lines up with another, go read a few articles online. Saying that someone was armed one day but not the next is a lie.

    How can that change overnight?

The media is trying to make big stories out of the little information they have. It was said the White House has wanted to clear up about these facts that he was unarmed, but they said he still did resist.

So you think that not only the United States that has confirmed his death, but the United Nations in which has also confirmed his death is lieing?

I don't think most of you realize why we killed Osama..

Al Qaeda is run from the top down, meaning taking the SOLE leader (Bin Laden) out of the picture leaves a HUGE power struggle amongst the members of the organization, splitting it apart and weakening it greatly. He was also known as Al Qaeda's biggest provider of funds. You can't completely eliminate an organization that large because it's not confined to one country. We have Al Qaeda members in the U.S.

Also, for the people who say, "This is just going to fuel Al Qaeda members," that's stupid. Will the organization and its followers retaliate? Yes. Soon? Probably. However, there's no better time for a person to make rash decisions than when they're incredibly angry about something.

He was buried in the sea so that where he was from, the other members of Al-Qaeda couldn't make a shrine.

The U.K and the U.S.A are on high bomb alert - £300k worth of uranium was traded in the terrorist group just for 3 pieces of it - the bombs are nuclear.

Fine, even if Osama is considered a human being, then this fair trial bullshit just has to come to an end.

If I knew where he was this whole time, I would have killed him myself.

    He deserved to die.

He's tortured the world far too long.

He has a right to live. He has a right to a fair trial. He has a right to defend himself against acusations. You are just as bad as him if you really believe what you said.

I do not support the death penalty under any circumstance. Theres a whole thread about it here as well.

I accuse you of killing my wife and I am rich and run ads to make everyone think you did it. Does that mean you do not deserve a trial? By your logic, yes, that is exactly what it means. By your logic I would be perfectly justifed if I hired a hitman to gun you down.

We didn't hold his trial. It does not matter if something is a known fact, you still deserve a fair trial. Read above. The navy seals also were told that it was capture or kill. They could have just sniped them all citing possible suicide bombs or dead man switches. He also was not even armed.

He was not armed. I am not aruging whether or not the seals were justified in pulling the trigger. I am aruging that it was not justified and he did not deserve to die and no one should be celebrating the death of another human.

The US is NOT, I repeat, NOT at war with anyone. Assasination of political leaders, which Osama was one, is also illegal under US policy (or law). Regardless, the motives of capturing or killing Osama was to seek revenge fir 9/11. Obama said he would capture Osama during his campaign. Why? To make people want to vote for him. If there was a legal footing for killing him (which there isn't), then Obama is corupt and should be impeached.

Read any of my points above.

    Osama's death was not justified

    Thats completely irrelevant.
In the US, and in Aus where I live, we pride ourselves on our legal system, on our democracy. We pride ourselves on free speech, and the liberty each member of society man is afforded.
How can we set an irreversible grotesque precedent that it's alright to kill another human being regardless of the actions we know him to have committed?
The trial could be arranged over a week or something, the facts are simple, and death death penalty could be hastened. But that doesn't mean he's not entitled to rights that we say everyone is entitled to.

Many people do not actually understand who fueled Saddams hate for the US initially.

Regardless, if America preaches that every man has the right to freedom, speech, religion, equal rights, a trial; then they should give every many such things, other wise where edges from re slipping into the grasp of a totalitarian ruler, where the rules are made at his discretion.

I don't know the legal system well so what I say may be wrong.

I believe everyone being entitled to a trial is more pointed at US citizens and less towards a group of people we are at war with. The military wouldn't watch one of their own be shot and then try and chase down the guy so he can be put on trial. Also if there is any complaints to be made about this then it should be regarding the death of the other people inside and not just Osama, were we suppose to put them on trial too?

    Be the bigger man.

How do you know he killed them? That is what a trial is for. To provide a fair way to determine guilt.

Regardless of the law, everyone deserves a fair trial. There is a difference between war or police actions and putting people on trial. We are not at war. We entered the compound with a highly trained seal team instead of just blowing it up. Whether or not the plan was to kill him is irrelevant. The reactions to it are awful and Obama's view on it is just disgusting.

    Osama's death was not justified

this has to be a fucking joke.
the only reason i would come anywhere close to agreeing with this is because for all I know osama bin laden is not a terrorist and has nothing to do with al qaeda.

but all conspiracy theories aside, if Osama bin laden really has done all the things we believe then of course he should be dead.

fair trials? celebration of death is wrong? two wrongs dont make a right?

    are you kidding me.

first of all, did all the people burning in the rubble of the twin towers have a fair trial?

for ages, different cultures have centered on the idea of things such as sacrificial rituals and celebrations of different sorts of death. dont feed me that garbage that death should not be celebrated. Many people feel that death in different circumstances, cultures, religions, etc. should be celebrated. just because you have a different belief as them doesnt mean everyone should feel the same way. its not a universal rule because u or anyone else believes it is. and u shouldnt condemn someone else for thinking otherwise. kinda reminds me of hitler.

two wrongs dont make a right. again, its not a universal rule of thumb that every death is a wrong. maybe one death could be wrong, but another could be right. of course someone can "DESERVE to die", the same way a child could "DESERVE" to be put in timeout for punching his grandma in the face.

and anyone talking about problems with legality and freedom of this and that in our country and blah blah blah. give me a break. just because your country preaches fair trials, not guilty til proven and all that doesnt mean every country is like that, nor does it mean everyone else has to agree with that. especially for a case like this.

some people in the world celebrated when the towers went down and thousands died. why cant i celebrate this?(not saying i am or am not, just making a point). and dont respond with two wrongs dont make a right because the fact that all those people died was "right" to some, the same way osama's death is "right" to others.

you have no place to say what is "right" for someone else

    Osama's death was not justified

From the multiple videos I've watched and articles I've read, the US wanted to bring him in, but it turned into a firefight and Osama got killed. The US should have made it more of a priority to get him alive and give him a trial. I also agree that it's sickening that people would celebrate the death of another human.

    Osama's death was not justified

Considering he admitted to it after the attacks I feel that would be enough evidence to justify us killing him. Also if you want to look at examples of this there was a German war criminal that was found in south America and captured by the Jewish secret service and executed there and then with a mock trial. Surely if they did that with Bin Larden it would be a show or a mock trial thus not being fair anyway so that makes your original point irrelivant. I just think that even if he did have a trial It would of not been fair and he would of most likely been executed.

    Osama's death was not justified

If you do not believe in fair trials, you do not care if your government is corrupt and thus you do not care if they send men out into the street and start gunning down everyone they see. Celebrating the death of another human being is morally wrong. It makes you as bad as the person who killed him. Two wrongs, logically, do not make a right.

The people in the towers were victims. You want to charge them with what? Being at the wrong place at the wrong time? Osama deserved a fair trial to bring justice for all the people killed.

If someone celebrates the death of another human being, they are not moral. They do not value human life nor do they care about the universal right people have to life. Hatred made Osama kill our people. Hatred made us kill him. Hatred will make his people kill our people. It never ends. Be a good person and understand that Osama being dead may make the world safer but be able to feel emotion about another human beings death and feel sad about it or you are honestly just as bad as him.

Timeout is not a wrong. It is perfectly morally acceptable as it teaches the child. Death destroys people. It makes them cease to exist. It violates their right to life. People have no right to decide whether or not someone deserves to live. Believing this would just mean that if I thought you deserved to die, it would be acceptable for me to kill you. Killing the man who raped and killed your wife is still murder. Osama being killed is no different.

The US demands fair trials. US navy seals killed Osama. Mhmm. Navy Seals don't have to listen to US laws even though they are controlled by the US?

Killing someone is morally wrong. Thus, two wrongs do not make a right. Celebrating someones death implies hate. Hate breeds hate. Be the bigger man and stop the cycle.

Of course he would have been found guilty. That isn't the point. The point is, the courts decide guilt, not the leader of one country.

how dare you talk about logic and then talk about morals.
anything you say is "not moral" is not moral to you. how dare you say that your way of thinking and your beliefs are the only thing that is right.

you are no better than the radical muslims who demand i believe what they do or they kill me. give me a break man.

How can you make such a statement when the general public doesn't know all the details? They could have fired on us first, thus we had to return fire, killing Osama and the other terrorists. There's also an idea going around that his body guard killed him so that he wouldn't leak any info.

So don't go posting stuff like this when we hardly know anything.
