Ok, I'm pissed

Alright, this is a shitty position, really and I admire you for what you're doing. With my experiences with bullying, the only thing I could do was fight back (which ultimately resulted in my getting charged with assault... Fucking Canadian self defense 'laws'), but in this position the only thing you can do is get in contact best you can with the authorities. This should be dealt with as less violence as possible.
However, you should prepare him for a fight. Tell him not to be scared to throw a few. If he displays enough courage, they might easy up on him a bit. Try and show him how to throw a good punch, some self defense moves, etc.

As for this, what the fuck are you thinking? I carry a knife with me for one reason - If the other person pulls a knife on me, I'm shanking them. This is honestly the worst idea ever. If YOU display a weapon first, they have the right to use self defense (assuming you have it in your country). In which case they can do whatever the fuck they want. As for the "touch him and you're getting stabbed, now fuck off" thing... That's actually considered assault, so don't do it unless you want 6 months probation (or 6 months jail time if you've been charged with it before).

If you want some other tips or something, just pm me... I was a bully at one point in life and feel bad about it. I was also bullied before that, so I know how it feels to be in both positions.
I can help with generally anything involving this situation.

 

I can just imagine 'Adam' bringing a gun to school one day and shooting these bullies , well at least that's what I could predict.

Personally, I'd tell the person that got bullied or 'Adam' in your case to go to the Gym and try to get stronger physically so the next time anyone threatens him he could stand his own ground.

My friend was getting teased constantly by the same person until my friend personally told him to F off and that he'd fight him if he kept teasing him. It worked and the person that teased him doesn't talk to him or do anything to him anymore.

Hey man I feel angry just reading this, no one deserves to be beat up for no apparent reason. I admire what you have done for him though, and im sure he appreciates it aswell.
I can't really offer much advice because most of it has already been mentioned, I just want to say that I hope everything turns out ok for you and your friend.

 

Wow, to begin that's a horrible story. Was there any incentive for their attacking him in the beginning? Maybe something he did before started this hatred for him.

If there wasn't anything that he did, like they just like to bully random kids for no reason what-so-ever, than I suggest you bring him to like self-defense classes or possibly tae kwon do. Not to fight back but just to show the kids he's not playing around anymore and he won't take this crap that they have given him.

Do not hurt anybody because if you send a kid to the hospital or whatever than your just gonna get the same punishment as John or worse.

 

I read to your story and can really relate, there are a bunch of fucktards everywhere who will eventually end up cleaning gutters and sewers for a living.

I was in a situation similar to yours but it was my brother that was being bullied. We had a lot of wanna be skater types in my neighborhood who would pick on my little brother. So when I saw them outside picking on my brother I confronted them. There were about 5 of them outside at that time. Of course they saw this as an opportunity to fight so they fought me.

I am not exactly sure who won as this was a couple years ago, but the fact that I stood up and fought for my brother let them get the message that if they were to continue picking on him they would have more trouble than its worth.

So you have a couple options as I see it, either tell on them, which would be the best option I feel. Or stand up to them physically when they start beating him up, have "Adam" help you out if he can at all to at least show the bullies he is not defenseless.

The funny thing though is that one of the kids that picked on my brother (he was 2 years older than me) ended up dropping out of high school, gaining over 40 pounds, and working at walmart as a cart boy. Karma is a bitch.t

 

I applaud you for sticking up for Adam. I personally don't have the courage to do such a thing, as I'm quite introversive, and that would be tough :S

I feel sick to the stomach when I hear stories like this, a begin to wonder what has happened to humanity.

Best of luck resolving this situation, I don't know EXACTLY what you should do, but get some professional help [teachers/police/parents] involved. Let "Adam" know he's got support, and don't let him fall into depression.

Teach the guy how to stand up for himself, there are only two ways the bullies will eventually leave him alone; the first being if he just ignores it but this could lead to him being bullied for a lot longer. Or secondly he stands up for himself, normally bullies only enjoy it when they know they can bully without resistance because it's easy. Or the last option is take one for the team and kick fuck out the bullies that's what I'd personally do, but it's probably the worst option.

I really admire you for what you're doing man.. as for advice i really dont have much as i have been on the "Adam side but not neeearly as as bad, i read the whole post and it makes me feel sick tbh. tell "Adam if he wants to talk to someone have him add my MSN: [email protected] or if you dont want it to feel piety like, give me his and ill message him, mentioning nothing about you.. But your doing a really good thing for him man. He could have been on the verge of being suicidal when you came along, you never know. Its really cool of you for letting adam in your group, seriously if he really is that funny and good to talk with you have to introduce him to more people so he can get friends. People mostly bully for the looks of a person.
When he has some friends to hang out with he probably wont get bullied.
Just remember bullies always pick persons who have almost no friends.

I mean holy shit.. An idiot in my school (about 4yr ago) got sued for giving a "nerd" a slap in his face while he was walking home.. And he got a dot in his policerecord for assault.. Why dont Adam just report that motherfuck to the cops, get him in jail and watch him come out a year later with a buttache and a bigass regret?

Yesterday evening on Adams bus a guy took his glasses and broke a bit off, nothing major but it's still quite harsh. See, what I don't get is what difference does it make to the guy? It doesn't make his life any better, but it makes Adams worse. What's the point, really? Fuck it.
