They don't have minds.

The point I'm trying to make is that the only thing that can be known for certain is the consciousness of one's own existence, and even that is a bit shaky.
 
Hmm wow :S i thought i was pretty much the only one who had thought of that. I often think to myself how wierd it is that everything could be nothing because its just myself with the illusion that there is everything.

Hold on, restate what you're saying?

So far I have:

Any one person can prove his existence to himself.
All sentient beings are, by definition, capable of doing this.
Therefore all sentient beings exist to themselves.

And I jump from there to things... existing. Observing yourself is defining your existence.
 
Ahh I understand now, i thought you meant you was like the chosen one or something lol. I see now, so everyone has a mind, but you're mind chooses what you see etc. Hmm ok, fair enough.

like others said this might be impossible to prove wrong exept for the fact that it couldnt be all generated by your mind becuase something would have had to create your mind in order for it to create an illusion, also its arguable that because other people react with us and are real how do we know that we arnt a figiment of someone elses mind? becuase other people react on there own and do things that we wouldnt want them to do its impossible, plus that would argue to say that thins we didnt know about dont even exist wich couldnt be true...........could it?
