We will censor ALL private or sensitive information prior to approving your thread.

ALL information required for recovery MUST be posted in a new thread every reply (do NOT PM your information to any Admin - this will increase recovery times significantly + information must be on the thread for future reference).

Certain accounts due to age and other factors may be impossible to prove ownership of and therefore are unrecoverable.​

Spoiler: How to create a thread or reply to a thread without an account

You can post new threads and reply to existing threads in these sections without having a Sythe account logged in, so there is no need to create a new account.

To create a new thread:
Simply click "New Thread" as normal:

To reply to an already existing thread:

Post a new thread in the same way as above but make sure to link the thread you are replying to in the new thread. We will then merge your response to your ongoing thread.

When prompted, enter a dispute username in the username box which appears as "Unregistered."

Note: You won't be able to put in your usual username as this is taken on your account. Instead try YourUsernameUnregistered or UnregisteredYourUsername, for example.

Spoiler: Can't see your thread?

Reasons why you may not be seeing your post:

1. Posts in this section have to be approved by a moderator before being publicly visible. If your request is a day or so old, it is likely it has not been approved yet. Be patient.
2. Your thread has been answered and archived: www.sythe.org/dispute-forum-archive/
3. Your thread has been deleted due to submitting multiple after being denied.
4. Your thread didn't belong in this section and was instead moved to www.sythe.org/dispute-twc-ban/ or www.sythe.org/request-pardon/ (please check these before posting again).

Spoiler: 2FA removal process

First off, if you saved it, enter your long 2FA backup code that you were prompted to keep when setting up 2FA where you would normally enter your short codes.

When requesting a 2FA removal, please note the administrative team needs proof of two or more of the following things:

• Make sure you're posting from a home IP
• Recovery phone number*
• Current registered email address
• Skype/Discord used in the past or present**
• If you have donated directly through PayPal;
  • Transaction date and amount
  • PayPal email

NOTES:
*Registering 2FA to your account does not automatically add your number as a recovery phone number, you would have needed to add this manually in your Account Settings.

**Third party account access (such as email and Skype/Discord) are not substantial verification methods - the whole point of registering 2FA to your account is to have EXTRA security past regular recovery methods.

Failure to provide aforementioned details when requesting 2FA removal may result in a delay.

If you cannot provide what is required, then you MUST prove without a reasonable doubt that you are the true owner of your account. If you are unable to do this, your 2FA will NOT be removed.

Spoiler: Forgot password

1. Use the manual recovery form: Lost Password | Sythe - The Craigslist of Virtual Goods.
2. Check your email inbox AND junk folder. This could take 5 or more minutes to arrive.

Having problems?

1. Post a thread from your normal, home IP address.
2. Include your registered email, profile link, and issue you're experiencing in the post.
3. Leave your Skype/Discord and an Administrator will contact you.

Spoiler: Password reset but can't find the email?

If either yourself or a staff member has reset your password, be sure to check your spam & junk folders.

If you use Gmail, look in "All Mail;" If you use Hotmail/Outlook, look in "Trash" and "Spam."

1. Post from your normal, home IP address.
2. Leave your new desired email addresses and a password reset will be emailed to you.
3. Leave your Skype/Discord in case an administrator needs to contact you.

1. Post from your normal, home IP address.
2. Supply us with an email address and desired username for your account.
3. Check back for a reply and check your emails when you see one.

Spoiler: Help! I've been hacked.

Have you been hacked or banned due to suspicion of being hacked? Please provide us with as much of the following information to assist in the return of your account.

1. Post from your normal, home IP address.
2. Supply us with the current email connected to your account.
3. If you have a recovery phrase, please provide that. (This is something you would have set when you created your account.)
4. Include a virus scan screenshot to ensure that your computer is not infected.

NOTE: If the email connected to your account includes your name, feel free to expedite the recovery with a blurred version of your ID showing your name. The same goes for if your account has your birthday/year. (We can cross-match this information to make your recovery quicker.)

Unsure of some of the info? Posting from home may be enough, but if it isn't, we can possibly give hints based off of IP.
