Not allowing 'tipping' in free graphics section.

I've been looking and occasionally completing free graphic requests for quite a while now, and the majority of the threads that are requesting have something along the lines of "will tip if I really like!', and its basically a fact that they are using it to try persuade people to make them free designs rather than other people, even though the most likely outcome is that no tipping will occur I think that offering tipping on your thread shouldn't be allowed because the service is not free, it is conditionally paid for. Tipping after the service is fine and should be encouraged, but telling people that you might provide some sort of compensation beforehand goes against what the free graphics section is about.

 

Never really understood that, people just try and get away with getting free shit while giving the artists hopes of pay. Support.

 

No support, if they are requesting it in Free Graphics them offering a tip is only added incentive for the artist. It's sort of like tipping for a complimentary service (e.g. free haircut)

 

Would you rather have them post such threads in the regular graphics marketplace? I think that seems silly. It's fine the way it is, let people do as they wish.

I don't use free gfx because I prefer quality.

BUT I would like to be able to tip, its an incentive for the gfx artist helping out somebody, they deserve some sort of tip/reward for being a good "soul".

yea I just think that if someone is going to spend their time completing free graphics they might as well pick the ones where they have a chance of getting money. No support

 

I don't believe most individuals offering to tip are doing it in good faith; rather, as a way to entice possible artists.

Enticing artists is part of the free market though.

Individuals attempting to entice artists by offering a potential tip over those who are posting just asking for free graphics, which would you choose as the artist when looking to do free work?

That's just smart of the individuals and artists, that shouldn't be illegal ?

+ Removing tips would discourage artists from potentially doing higher quality work to perhaps earn a tip.

Doing this would 1. violate free market and 2. Lower the quality provided by the artists to those posting in the section.

He "might" tip. It's bullshit. I think requesting free graphics is a retarded option to have. People who want to offer them should offer them. We have multiple requests threads in that section that have 20-50 PAGES of bumps. Why..

I've addressed free market multiple times. It is not an end all be all and while we regulate aspects of the Sythe market, we tend to lean towards a hands-off approach.

Most graphic artists I know tend to go all out for all the work they do.

#1 has been addressed and #2 is pure conjecture.

My main concern is with graphic artists. If the graphics artists of the section feel this should be removed, then I believe it should be. It's a niche market and I imagine the individuals whom produce graphics for the site have a better basis for their opinion about the section then both of us; albeit, that does not exclude us from the conversation.

 

I support this. Or should i say you shouldn't be allowed to advertise tipping in your thread, BUT when the work is done you may be able to tip.

One may post in the Free Graphics for many different reasons.

• They don't want to hire someone to do their GFX because if they are unsatisfied they will still be obligated to pay.
• They are in need of a signature, but don't have enough money for a signature. If they had someone from the free graphics forum complete a signature for them, they get to choose whether they want to pay them or not.
  
• Adding "If I like it, I will tip" just is incentive for a graphic artist doing orders in the free graphics forum to pick one over another.
• It's sort of like tipping for a complimentary service (e.g. free haircut), you may think that the barber will do a sloppy job on your hair so you tell him that you will tip if you are satisfied with the haircut. This is just added incentive for the barber to take their time on it.

 

Most cucks who post in that forum have zero intentions of tipping even though they say they "might" if they like it enough lol. Then they will give you 100k 07 for a tip (10cents). They are trying to swindle people into good graphics without paying.

 

If they say they might give a tip and you don't get one, I'm not sure what you expected when you are making something for someone in the FREE graphics section. No support from me, should be pretty obvious you're not getting money for it
