The country has released a news story to its citizens claiming that they have moved past group stage. AKA made it into the finals.

Official reports state that they beat


Japan 7-0
USA 4-0
China 2-0

and then they beat brasil 1-0 and are off to the finals..

It's not really hilarious, it's more like very sad and bizarre. While I agree that it is another country so it is their own business, we as a more civilized and conscious community (I'm from europe but same goes for USA) should do something, it's just too ridiculous

 

You realise this was a troll video release by a youtube channel that went viral, and not by North Korea? It's satire at its best. It's not real.

 

I've been searching around and there is no definitive proof that this actually aired, but at the same time, there are a lot of people who say it is legit.

2. ok lets just let another holocaust happen! its their country, right? wrong, its the governments country and the people have no choice - very rarely can they leave the country. they're placed in work camps for crimes they aren't told, and shot dead if they try to escape. yet we all sit back and have remembrance day and remember the brave all those years ago.

tldr: if you have global influence and power it should be used to protect people not only when it suits us and there's oil involved.

 

I was with you until the very last "and there's oil involved". I agree a country with military dominance should use it to protect the people of the world, but I disagree with using it just so we can protect our oil interests. There is a difference between protecting North Koreans who are starving and in prisons for no reason, and forcing middle eastern oil companies to sell their oil in ONLY USD or threatening to label them as terrorists and invading their countries unauthorized.

I think you read wrongly; what I meant to say was "we shouldn't just invade/help when it suits us and theres oil involved - we should help in all instances". Put differently, interventions only seem to happen when the outside country has something to gain, which is wrong.

 

So do you personally think that intervention based on personal interest is still moral as long as we are aiding humans along the way?
