I don't understand the purpose of this rule. If somebody purchases graphics, they are purchasing a service. Why can't they vouch that this service was done well?

People vouch when a leecher gets their level 3 account from 1-20 woodcutting, so what's the harm in vouching for a signature?

I've wondered this as well. I guess there's just no risk unless the person going first gives the money beforehand.

Vouches are used for the market. Vouching for making a signature does not make the buyer/seller more trusted. Therefore, it is useless.

No support.

I believe if it's free, there's no reason it can be vouched, but if someone's paying for this service, like anyother service, I think they should be able to vouch eachother, as money is being exchanged.

Party A is buying the sig, party B is selling

Party A sends money
Party B runs off
-RISK-

Party B makes sig
Party A doesn't pay

See above.

Party B watermarks sig
Party A can't use without looking like a dumbass

I'd support vouching for GFX, because you said it yourself, people get vouches for BOTTING 20 woodcutting which takes like 15 minutes at max.

I wouldn't trust someone that has vouches for Graphics, and I believe the Admins/Moderators share the same viewpoint.
People use their vouches also as a sign that their customers have received good service - whereas with Graphics, sellers post examples of their work to show their talent, they don't need a vouch for people to know that they are good at what they do.

Would you trust somebody who had 13 vouches for training firemaking from 1-25?

It's fair enough that they should get vouches, but like already said, no-one would go first too a person with GFX Vouches.

Then use a MM. You don't know what people will or will not do until the situation is present, which it isn't because nobody has GFX vouches.

It's really dependent on the situation - who vouched him, how good the accounts were, was there much trust involved in the services?
All these factors account for whether or not I trust them. If they provided a decent and legit service, then yes, I would most likely trust someone with 13 vouches from training firemaking 1-25.

People already currently give feedback on the service they received in Graphics Buying/Selling threads. An actual vouch isn't really needed, but a post thanking the other person and also letting everyone know you were happy with the final product is allowed, and already happens. I just personally don't think it's a service that requires trust....

Then why would you not trust someone who spent hours / days of their time to perfect the graphics requested by someone?

Think about it, if no-one will trust people who have GFX vouches, why let them have vouches for it in the first place?

Sorry, I mean thats my personal opinion, and what a decent amount of Sythe would believe as well.

Again, you're nobody to say that. I'm sure plenty of people would trust people with GFX vouches. Besides, if you don't trust them because they do have GFX vouches, use a MM. It's a perfectly fine suggestion, unless they decide to disallow vouches for petty training such as 20-35 in an easy skill.

OK in that case,

I "Officially" support this suggestion.

Because the person selling it is at no loss. Vouches are for someone's trustworthiness. Anyone (with the skill to do so) can make a render and sell it and if they scam, what are they potentially losing? 20 minutes on PS or PDN? Ooo big loss.

Plus, anyone could also use a graphics engine or just rip an image from elsewhere and attempt to sell it for a vouch. That wouldn't be them getting a trustworthy vouch now would it? You would be vouching their copy and paste abilities.

So what you're saying is.. that's worse than stealing an account and giving it away, making a "4 character" name and giving it away, training 1-13 fishing, doing cook's assistant or getting an account off tutorial island for a vouch?

A lot of people do "easy" stuff and get vouches for it, why can't honest people who spend hours on their GFX work get a vouch for it?
