No such thing as Bids on sythe.

I think the problem here is that most sellers (guilty myself too) are misusing the word bid in place of offer, really. And as offers aren't binding, it's okay in that sense.

 

The point of a STARTING bid is that they just want a minimal offer/bid, instead of idiots saying "$10" for an account with 2400 total. It doesn't mean they have to accept your offer just because you didn't lowball them.

The way I see it, "bid" basically means "offer" on sythe. Takes 0.005secs to figure that out, if you think it's worth it to make a rant about that you might want to look in the mirror instead of calling other people fucking retards.

Maybe "bid" isn't the right word, but rather "offer". Sellers have a right to look at offers and wait for one they think is high enough. We just use the phrase "starting bid" around here

 

It's a sort of a marketing strategy, I guess. The seller probably wants to sell his product fir a certain price, but is embarassed to ask people to buy it at that price or has tried, but never got a buyer.

The seller starts a "bid" in the hopes of finding a person who would buy his product at a certain price.

 

Sythe should make the market section automatically take you to a legit eBay looking system where it is exactly the eBay interface "but Sythe styled of course" With legit working auctions.

 

If this isn't a joke, let me be the first to say that there is absolutely 0 chance of this happening

 

Can you imagine how much this would cost to create and implement? I'm not just talking about money here but time? I don't feel there's a need to fix something that isn't broken, just making offers, or bids if the seller is running an auction through threads is fine.
