Redskins won what, 3 games last year? I don't put much stock in a win over the Redskins.

 

We actually allowed a touchdown, JJ Watt just blocked the extra point, making their final score 6.

Ray Rice has now been released by the Ravens.

 

A win is a win, despite what team it is, i'm sure teams that did terrible last year have proven to do better, and teams who dominated have proven to do worse

 

That's my bad, I don't have the Texan game over at my place and I don't have NFL Sunday Package, just trying my best to follow the stats through StatTracker. Still though, Texans are still doing good.

 

Still need to see a win from Houston over an actual playoff caliber team, then I'll be impressed.

Finally got around to watching the Patriots vs Dolphins, I knew we'd struggle since the Patriots always take a while to get into gear with the complexity of their system and we always have a tough time going into Miami but damn... It was night and day between the two halves, we were 2 different teams.

In belichick we trust but I'm wondering if there is a method to his madness - why is Chandler Jones, a great 4-3 DE, being used as a 3-4 DE? He's undersized for it and it takes away his effectiveness, not to mention Vellano being used as the other 3-4 DE which he isn't good at. It's like he is trying to relive our 3-4 glory days despite us not having the right personnel for it.

 

Fair enough, might not be next week since they are playing Oakland

 

I read somewhere Brown got fined $25,000 for that

Philly looks good? Did we watch the same game? Needed to rally against literally the worst team in the NFL. They looked abysmal. Foles already primed for that sophomore slump.

I don't really understand how people can be impressed with a comeback against the hapless Jaguars. They never should have been down 17 to begin with. Not to mention SHUT OUT for a half against them.

Clearly they had issues the first half but they looked fucking great once they figured out what the fuck they were doing. And hurns will never do that again

Doesn't change the fact it's against the Jaguars. Quite far and away the weakest team in the NFL.

Without arguably their best player even, lol.

 

So a similar deal to what happened with the Pats then

1 game isn't enough to be representative and draw conclusions on the future of a team

 

That and Miami has been a recent thorn in the side of New England. Miami's nowhere near as hapless and pathetic as the Jaguars. I literally question if the Jaguars can score any points on their actual own

 

Total problems

-Always have issues at Miami
-Switch to 3-4 despite having 4-3 personnel
-Mis-use of Chandler Jones on the interior instead of on the edge
-Mis-use of Revis playing zone instead of playing man
-Interior OL
-Abandoning the run game (we were averaging over 4 YPC with Vereen over 5 YPC yet the run game literally disappeared)

I have never understood that.
